During the Qin and Han Dynasties, there were mainly Shule Kingdom , Zhen China, Weitou Kingdom , and donor country. The second year of Emperor Xuan of Han (60 BC), the Xiongnu who ruled the Western Regions led his troops to return to the Han Dynasty, and the state was officially included in the territory of the Han Dynasty. During the Northern Dynasties, the Xirong School Guard was established in the Western Regions. Shule , Kucha (Yutou belongs to Kucha), and Wusun (Donated poison belongs to Wusun), were all under the jurisdiction of this school Guard. During the Sui Dynasty, was affiliated with the Western Turkic royal court.
Tang Dynasty All regions in the territory are under the jurisdiction of Anxi Protectorate , and there are Shule Governor's Office (the capital is located in Shule Town ), Weitouzhou (the capital is Gushishan), Wensuzhou (the capital is Dashicheng), and Yanduzhou (the capital is located in hukoushi Restaurant). Today, Aheqi belongs to Wensuzhou and Weitouzhou; Atushi , Aktao and Wucha belong to Shule Governor's Office and Yanduzhou. All regions in the country belong to , Gelu , Sample Mo, Chuyue and other departments.
Northern Song . During the Liao Dynasty, most of the land in the territory belonged to the Black Khan (i.e., Karakhan) dynasty, among which a small part of the northeast (now Aheqi) belonged to the Xizhou Uighur , and a small part of the southern part (now Aketao) belonged to the tian. In 1210 AD, the Karakhan Dynasty was destroyed by Qu Chu Law, and the state was originally under the jurisdiction of Xiliao. In 1218, the Western Liao was destroyed by Mongolia, and Mongolia set up officials to rule the territory. In 1275 AD, the Yuan Dynasty established the Zhongshu Province in Alimali, and the prefecture was under the jurisdiction of the Zhongshu Province, and was governed by the official who was sentenced to the matter. In 1346, the prefecture was also under the fief of the Chagatai Houwang. The queen of Chagatai is the descendant of Chagatai, the second son of Genghis Khan, .
In the early Ming Dynasty, the jurisdiction of Baishuli . In the 16th year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (1418), the Ming Dynasty changed the Bishu Bali area to Yilibali area. The prefecture was also the hereditary territory of the Duohulati family, the minister of the capital of Yiliba, and was called the Duohulati tribe. In the 12th year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (1533), Sayed Khan, a descendant of Chagatai, established the Yarkand Khanate , and the prefecture was under its rule.
In the 17th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1678), Galdan, the Mongolian tribe of the Junggar invaded the southern road of Tianshan Mountains, and the prefecture was under the rule of the Junggar tribe. After the Qing government quelled the Junggar rebellion, it established a prime minister in the 24th year of Qianlong (1759), and the prefecture was under the management of the minister. In the 27th year of Qianlong's reign (1762), the Qing government established "Generals of President Yili and other places" in Yili , and the prefecture also governed the Generals of Yili. In the tenth year of Guangxu (1884), Xinjiang was established in Xinjiang, and its territory was under the jurisdiction of Shule Prefecture, , Kashi County, and hrshudao Wushi Hall in Kashgar Road, Xinjiang Province.

In July 1954, Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture, which has Kirgiz as the autonomous nation, was established. At this point, Kizilsu has formed a unified regional-level administrative establishment.
