Preface
1949, after three major battles, the Chinese People's Liberation Army gradually eliminated the vital forces of the Kuomintang. The People's Liberation Army swept across the country with the momentum of the autumn wind sweeping away fallen leaves. In January of the same year, Tianjin was liberated. As an important city in North China, its liberation was of great significance to the victory of the national revolution.
After Tianjin was liberated, many Kuomintang spies were still involved in it and carried out destruction from time to time. Moreover, due to the long-term war, the lives of the people are even more miserable. How to quickly stabilize the situation in Tianjin has become a difficult problem facing the Party Central Committee and Chairman Mao.
Soon after, Chairman Mao held a special meeting to discuss who will take charge of Tianjin. At the meeting, Chairman Mao proposed: "Tianjin has a special geographical location and is an important place and portal to protect the capital. Now Tianjin is in ruins, and Chiang Kai-shek is waiting to see our jokes. We urgently need a capable comrade to rule Tianjin."
Huang Jing
As soon as he finished speaking, a familiar figure appeared in Premier Zhou's mind. Immediately afterwards, Premier Zhou said: "Comrade Huang Jing has participated in the revolution for many years and has rich work experience in the local area. What do you think of him?"
Soon after, Huang Jing received the appointment and came to Tianjin to work. During this period of working in Tianjin, he made outstanding contributions to the development of the Tianjin area and was called "the good mayor of Tianjin" by the people.
was born in a prominent family and devoted himself to the revolution for his ideals and beliefs. Huang Jing was one of the founding fathers of the New China. With the success of the Chinese revolution, he participated in the construction of the New China and witnessed the independence and prosperity of the New China.
Huang Jing’s original name is Yu Qiwei and was born in a prominent family in Shaoxing, Zhejiang. His grandfather Yu Mingzhen was the mentor mentioned by Mr. Lu Xun in " Trivial Notes ". He once held important positions in the late Qing court and the Republic of China government.
When he was young, Huang Jing
Because his grandfather was quite prestigious in the local area, most of the people he met were bureaucrats, tycoons and other knowledgeable people, and most of the people he talked about were about changes in the national situation. Huang Jing was affected to a certain extent when he was young. He often followed his brothers and sisters to secretly come to the flowers outside the living room, listening ignorantly to the analysis of the current situation by the elders at home.
Under the influence of the family, Huang Jing received a good education since childhood. He studied at Nanjing Jinling University Affiliated Primary School and Southeast University Affiliated Primary School. Later, he followed his mother to Tianjin and studied at Nankai Middle School and Huiwen Middle School.
After Huang Jing graduated from middle school, he came to Shanghai to continue his studies. During his time studying in Shanghai, he developed a strong interest in drama activities and joined the famous drama club "Nanguoshe".
When participating in the drama performance of "Nanguoshe", Huang Jing met many Communists and progressive people. While getting along with them, Huang Jing read a large number of Marxist books, and his thoughts gradually changed.
A scene after the fall of Northeast China
In the winter of 1930, Huang Jing came to Qingdao to study. The following year, he was admitted to the Department of Physics of Tsinghua University. Unfortunately, the Japanese launched the "September 18th" incident at this time. More than 30 million people in Northeast China became slaves of the country overnight, which made Huang Jing very worried about the future and destiny of the country.
Faced with the Japanese invasion, Chiang Kai-shek adopted a policy of "non-resistance", which led to the Japanese invaders' advance and a large area of land was lost. To this end, countless patriotic students took to the streets to actively promote patriotic activities, and even rushed to Nanjing to petition before the National Government, hoping to drive the Japanese out of their homes and regain their territory.
In this exercise, Huang Jing showed excellent organizational skills and withstood the test of the organization. At the end of the same year, he joined the Communist Party of China. After joining the party, Huang Jing's revolutionary enthusiasm became even higher. He actively participated in the anti-imperialist patriotic movement, completed the tasks assigned by the party organization, joined the Communist Party of China, and was awarded the position of secretary of the underground party branch of Qingdao University by organization.
Pupil patriotic movement
Huang Jing actively organized students to conduct marches and promote revolutionary activities, which further strengthened the revolutionary power, but was jealous of the Kuomintang reactionaries. In order to crack down on the movement initiated by our party, the reactionaries formulated several plans to arrest Huang Jing, but because Huang Jing was smart and flexible, the reactionaries returned empty-handedly.
was arrested by spies during the revolutionary movement. Afterwards, Chairman Mao was concerned about
1933. Huang Jing was followed by reactionaries while rushing to Qingdao’s underground party organization. After Huang Jing realized it, in order not to expose the organization's location, he came to a stall to buy things. After buying things, he walked towards the campus.
Just as I passed an alley, several Kuomintang spies appeared in front of me, and then several spies following followed. Looking at the large number of enemies, Huang Jing had to run towards the enemy's defensive gap. Unfortunately, due to the large number of people on the other side, Huang Jing was quickly arrested.
Fortunately, because Huang Jing has a high reputation among students and the country's enthusiasm for anti-Japanese war, the enemy feels that killing Huang Jing will arouse the anger of the people. The reactionaries thought about it over and over again and temporarily imprisoned him in the Kuomintang prison.
KMT spies
In order to obtain useful information from Huang Jing, the enemy tried every means to win him over, but Huang Jing strengthened his belief in revolution to the end.
Seeing Huang Jing unwilling to explain, the Kuomintang reactionaries were furious and tortured him in various ways. After a long period of torture, Huang Jing was tortured to death, but even so, he did not reveal any secrets of our party to the enemy, nor did he admit that he was the Communist Party, and the enemy had no choice.
had no choice but to continue to lock Huang Jing in prison. Looking at the high iron window, Huang Jing was determined in his heart that the organization would definitely save him. After learning about this, the organization immediately sent someone to investigate Huang Jing's whereabouts, and then formulated a relevant rescue plan to rescue him from the claws of the reactionaries.
Because he suffered cruel torture in prison, he couldn't stand up after he was released from prison. Looking at the weak Huang Jing, his comrades quickly sent him to the hospital for treatment. After the examination, the doctor suggested that he undergo long-term care and slowly recover his body.
When he was young, Huang Jing
In order to consider Huang Jing's health, the organization had to let him take care of him in the hospital. During this period, Huang Jing was not idle. He actively paid attention to the domestic situation and put forward suggestions to the organization, which were highly recognized by the party leaders.
After a period of recuperation, Huang Jing's body gradually recovered. Soon, he came to all parts of the country to actively promote Marxism, strive to win more outstanding party members for the party, and want to make greater contributions to the party and the people.
1937, after the outbreak of the full-scale anti-Japanese war, the Kuomintang and the Communist Party began their second cooperation. Soon, Huang Jing, as a local representative, came to Yan'an to attend the meeting.
Chairman Mao heard about Huang Jing’s deeds on the way to Long March , especially after learning that he was arrested by the enemy, he still fought unyieldingly. During the meeting in Yan'an, Chairman Mao personally summoned him.
During the conversation, Chairman Mao asked in detail about Huang Jing’s family situation and revolutionary experience. Huang Jing was very moved. He did not expect that Chairman Mao, as the leader of the Communist Party of China, would still care so much about him.
Chairman Mao during the revolutionary period
After listening to Huang Zhen’s story, Chairman Mao patted his shoulder and said, “You are so young that you can achieve such great achievements in the revolutionary movement. It’s really extraordinary.”
Immediately afterwards, Chairman Mao talked about the situation on the battlefield of the Anti-Japanese War. Chairman Mao said earnestly: "The situation on the front line of the anti-Japanese war is now severe, so you can go to the front line too. With your ability, you will definitely be able to do something."
After hearing this, Huang Jing immediately assured Chairman Mao: "Chairman, don't worry, I will not let your expectations down. After going to the front line, I will unite my comrades and defend our home. "
Under the attention of Chairman Mao, Huang Jing came to the anti-Japanese base in the central Hebei Plain. At that time, the anti-Japanese base in the central Hebei Plain had expanded to more than 30 counties, with two important armed forces, the People's Self-Defense Forces and the Hebei Guerrilla Army. With the development of the Hebei Anti-Japanese Base in the central Hebei region, the Communist Party of China urgently needed a strong leadership core in the central Hebei region. After Huang Jing arrived, he immediately conveyed the important instructions and decisions of the Central Northern Bureau and the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Military Region, and convened the first congress of the Hebei region in the Communist Party of China to mobilize the whole party to strengthen the construction of the Hebei region's anti-Japanese base in all aspects.
Warriors from the revolutionary base in Hebei region
Huang Jing presided over the Party Committee of the Hebei region When working, he attached great importance to strengthening the leadership of the Party and focused on the construction of party-local construction, government-building and mass organizations in the Hebei-Central Anti-Japanese Base Area. Party organizations at all levels have become more sound and strong, and have become the strong leadership core of the people's anti-Japanese Japanese invaders.
At the same time, he was also very concerned about the local cultural and educational undertakings. By the summer of 1940, basically every administrative village in central Hebei had primary schools, and each district had high-level primary schools. The enrollment rate of children reached 80%, and adult literacy education also made great progress.
With the development of popular education, it not only improved people's quality, but also promoted rural cultural life. In villages of all sizes, the songs of anti-Japanese and national salvation were everywhere, inspiring the broad masses of people to join in In the battle against the enemy.
Due to long-term work, Huang Jing's body became ill and was forced to come to Yan'an for rest.
The good mayor of the people of Tianjin
1945, after 14 years of bloody battle, the Chinese military and civilians achieved a great victory in the War of Resistance against Japan. However, despite the opposition of the people, Chiang Kai-shek mobilized heavy troops to attack the liberated areas on a large scale. The clouds of the civil war enveloped the people of the whole country.
Tianjin area was liberated
After three major battles, the Chinese People's Liberation Army gradually eliminated the vital forces of the Kuomintang. By January 1949, Tianjin, Pei Ping and other places also returned to the hands of the people.
Tianjin has a special geographical location. It is an important place and portal to protect the capital, and it is also the second largest industrial and commercial city in the country. How to successfully take over Tianjin will surely become an important reference for taking over major cities in the country. Therefore, the Party Central Committee and Chairman Mao attached great importance to the work of taking over Tianjin.
Moreover, Tianjin had just been liberated at that time, all walks of life were in a mess, and there were many Kuomintang spies making trouble. For this reason, a comrade with rich work ability was urgently needed to preside over the overall situation of Tianjin. At this moment, Chairman Mao thought of Huang Jing.
On the day after the liberation of Tianjin, Huang Jing and other comrades drove into the city of Tianjin in an off-road jeep. Looking at the urban area in front of him, Huang Jing said to himself: "The old world has been broken, and we must build a new world. "
Immediately afterwards, Tianjin established the Tianjin District Military Control Committee of the People's Liberation Army with Huang Kecheng as the director, Tan Zheng and Huang Jing as the deputy director. Soon, Huang Kecheng was ordered to go south to fight, and the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China appointed Huang Jing as the secretary and mayor of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee, responsible for presiding over the work in the Tianjin area.
Chairman Mao
At this time, although Tianjin returned to the hands of the people. However, because Due to the impact of the war, many remnants of the Kuomintang still lurked in various places, waiting for opportunities to carry out various sabotage activities in an attempt to destroy the new people's regime.
Facing everything in front of him, Huang Jing did not give up. He immediately summoned the People's Liberation Army soldiers and started the inspection work. Under Huang Jing's leadership, the soldiers arrested a large number of Kuomintang spies in just a few months, creating a peaceful and stable development environment for the people of Tianjin. After the order gradually stabilized, how to restore and develop Tianjin's economy has become a difficult problem at the moment. At that time, New China had just established various economic components , and under the leadership of the state-owned economy, it actively promoted the development of various economies. In order to implement this route, Huang Jing decided to deal with it according to the special circumstances of Tianjin.
He conducted a detailed analysis and believed that the reason why Tianjin was able to develop in modern times was because it became a channel for the dumping of foreign goods, while local industry and commerce could not develop well because it was oppressed by bureaucratic capitalism .
Modern Tianjin
For this reason, he believes that if the Tianjin region wants to recover and develop, it must rely on its own independent national economy, and all of this must rely fully on the people and workers. Only by legally protecting the legitimate interests of private people and with the help of workers can the development of Tianjin's industry be further promoted.
After four years of governance, all aspects of Tianjin's construction have been on track, and the achievements he has made have been recognized by the Party and the people. In 1952, the Central Committee made a decision to transfer Huang Jing to the position of Minister of the First Ministry of Machinery Industry.
No matter where you go, Huang Jing has been working diligently. After coming to , the First Ministry of Machinery Industry, on the basis of establishing and improving the normal order of the enterprise, he attached great importance to strengthening technical management and technological transformation work, and actively cultivated new forces in the industry.
Just when Huang Jing wanted to make greater contributions to our country's socialism, due to long-term fatigue, he fell to his job. On the hospital bed, he was still asking about the latest situation of the technological revolution .
While Huang Jing was working in Tianjin
While healing in Guangzhou, Chairman Mao and other national leaders were always paying attention to his condition. When he learned that Huang Jing was still worried about his work, Chairman Mao deliberately sent someone a message: "Keep the green mountains there, don't be afraid of burning fire, and keeping your body well is the first priority."
Unfortunately, one day in February 1958, Huang Jing suffered from cerebral artery embolism, and the doctor's rescue was ineffective, and the young mind stopped beating.
Huang Jing died young, but it is gratifying that his three sons inherited his father's revolutionary spirit and beliefs and made outstanding contributions to the country. In particular, his third son Yu Zhengsheng has become the chairman of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference with his own abilities and has been recognized and respected by the Party and the people.
Huang Jing's speech
This man has passed away, but his revolutionary spirit has been passed down and has always inspired us to fight for the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and history and the people will eventually remember this hero.
