In the recruit training team of the Sanming Detachment of the Fujian Provincial Corps of the Armed Police, there is a new comrade in his family, four generations of people joining the army to serve the country, integrating loyalty into the family’s heritage. His great-grandfather, grandfather and father were all soldiers, and the family continued to be the glory of joining the army. This year, 22-year-old You Yunlong chose to take over the "baton" from his father's hands and go to the military camp to find the common ideals and beliefs in the hearts of previous generations. You Yunlong’s great-grandfather: You Ziru
You Ziru, the great-grandfather of the new recruit You Yunlong. Born in 1918 in a peasant family in , Yimeng Mountain District. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, he resolutely participated in the revolution and served as the district team leader and district team leader.
Later, it was organized to study in the army, and also served as platoon leader, instructor, security officer and shooting range manager. You Ziru has participated in major battles such as Pi County Battle, Luoyang Battle , Kaifeng Battle, Jinan Battle , etc. During this period, he was injured many times and won various honors such as Second Class Merit , Third Class Merit , and the Medal of Liberation Honor.
Grandpa You Yunlong: You Hongyu
You Hongyu, grew up listening to his father You Ziru's story of the Anti-Japanese War since he was a child. In 1963, when he was just over the age of his father, he followed the footsteps of his father and served in Jinan Military Region . When he was in the army, he trained seriously and worked steadily, and was named the "Five Good Soldier". In that difficult era, he often couldn't eat enough. When he was the squad leader, he often gave his meal to those new comrades who were not full, and was affectionately called the good brother by the new comrades. Because of his excellent military qualities and outstanding work performance in the army, he joined the party in the second year. After joining the party, You Hongyu always demanded himself as a party member, and made silently in his post, using the military brush to write the dream-seeking beauty of his generation.
You Yunlong’s father: You Wei
You Wei, the father of the new recruit You Yunlong. He joined the army in 1991 and served in the Beijing Corps of the Armed Police. His unit was responsible for the security work of foreign embassies and consulates, and participated in the security work of the visit to China in 1992 and the 4th Beijing World Women's Congress in 1995. During his service, You Wei's detachment received superior tasks and conducted standardized demonstration movement training for duty handover. After three months of training, You Wei and his comrades successfully completed the inspection and acceptance of the heads of the armed police force and the corps in the Beijing Workers' Stadium, and the standardized movements were promoted and used in the armed police force. During the military journey, he has won many honors such as "Outstanding Soldier" and "Outstanding Squad Leader". After You Wei was discharged from the army in 1995, he still maintained the glorious tradition of not fading his discharge. In 2001, he encountered a criminal who robbed a single woman's property while on a business trip in Xi'an. He and his colleagues decisively captured him and handed over to the public security organs. Afterwards, Xi'an Huashang Evening News reported on the matter.
Under the nourishment of the red family style, the "seed" of joining the army and serving the country in the heart of the new recruit You Yunlong quietly took root and sprouted very early. In September 2022, another batch of Yimeng'erlang boarded the train leaving home and rushed to the place where the motherland needed the most. Among them, in the train heading south, a dark and childish young man was drowned in a brand new military uniform, and he was You Yunlong. September 17 is a lifelong day that You Yunlong will never forget. At around 3 a.m., You Yunlong's family came to Linyi High-speed Railway Station to send him to join the army and told You Yunlong to work with peace of mind in the army.
When the recruit company had tense training for one day, the snoring sounds in the class gradually became louder and the comrades fell asleep deeply. The recruit You Yunlong took out the neatly folded letter paper from under the mattress and read it carefully. When I was at the EMU, my father's instructions were still vivid in my mind.At the crowded station entrance, You Wei saw that the handsome guy who was half taller than him also wore the same olive green military uniform as he used to be, and couldn't help but write an impromptu poem:

At the mobilization of the new training, You Yunlong walked onto the podium and expressed his determination on behalf of all his comrades-in-arms.
