970, Zhangjiafen Village, Miyun County, Beijing.
"What's going on? Why are there so many people?"
"Grandma Deng is gone. Let's see her off."
"Is it the Deng Yufen who is called "Taijun She"?"
"Yes, no Speaking of other things, all the men in his family are English. All the heroes died on the battlefields of fighting the Japanese and the Kuomintang. "
"That's a must. This is our great hero. She was the oldest one in our village. Who in this generation is not grateful to him! She is also a hero."
html At the funeral of 179-year-old Deng Yufen, everyone in the village came to pay tribute to the woman known as "Taijun She". We all know that Taijun She was from the Song Dynasty. When foreign enemies invaded, she sent her husband, seven sons, and two daughters to the battlefield to fight against the foreign enemies. In the end, only the sixth son of the seven sons of the Yang family survived, and the rest People either die in battle or are killed by traitors within the government. In the later period, Taijun She even personally led the expedition to defend the country's mountains and rivers. She was a truly outstanding female military strategist in ancient times and can be called a heroine.
Who is Deng Yufen who can be compared with "Taijun She"? Why is it said that she saved the whole village? What heroic deeds does she have?
Deng Yufen
In 11891, Deng Yufen was born in a farm family in Miyun County. As a girl, she has been very diligent since she was a child. When people talk about her, they praise her as a good worker at home and outside. When she was underage, her parents wanted to marry her off because of the difficult conditions at home. After a matchmaker introduced her, she married Ren Zongwu, who lives in Zhangjiafen Village not far away.
The conditions of the Ren family are also very difficult. After marriage, the couple lived in the Ren family's dilapidated thatched house. Moreover, the family had no land, so the couple had to rely on renting land from landlords. After the marriage, the two gave birth to seven sons. How to raise these seven sons became their most distressing matter at the time. They devoted themselves to serving the land every day and did odd jobs from time to time, so that they could barely support themselves and their children. It is impossible for us to have a full meal.
In 1933, Japanese invaders attacked the areas along the Great Wall. The Kuomintang Revolutionary Army was ordered to fight, but failed to withstand the fierce Japanese offensive. The Great Wall fell. The Kuomintang signed the "Tanggu Armistice Agreement" with Japan. Since then, the Japanese army and the Kuomintang have temporarily reached a consensus on non-interference with the Great Wall as the boundary. 22 counties in northern Hebei have been included in the territory of the puppet Manchukuo, including Miyun County, Deng Yufen's hometown.
Deng Yufen's family saw the crimes committed by the Japanese army on this land and hated the people with gnashing teeth. However, in order to survive without being manipulated by the Japanese army, the family moved to Zhutou Ridge not far away to open up wasteland and grow food. They did not want to be slaves to the subjugation of their country, nor did they want to be bullied by the Japanese army, but they really had no choice but to watch helplessly as the Japanese army trampled on their hometown. She often warned her sons: "You must understand that you are Chinese, you cannot do things that are disgraceful to the country, and you cannot be a traitor. I will accept death. If any of you dare to help little Japan, I will not recognize you as my son."
in 1940 In 2008, Miyun County welcomed troops of the Eighth Route Army, who established the Ningpingyun Anti-Japanese Base Area here, and Zhutou Ridge welcomed troops of the Eighth Route Army. During the contact with the Eighth Route Army troops, Deng Yufen's family gradually lowered their guard, and they were attracted by the anti-Japanese spirit and red ideals promoted by the Eighth Route Army.
Sending a son and husband to the war
In June 1940, the Eighth Route Army recruited soldiers, and Deng Yufen's family responded positively. Deng Yufen discussed with her husband and let her eldest son Ren Yongquan and second son Ren Yongshui go, so they became the first batch of soldiers of the Eighth Route Army Baihe guerrillas. In September, the third son could not stand the exploitation and oppression of the landlords and fled back home. Considering that the guerrillas were not fully staffed, Deng Yufen sent her third son to the Baihe guerrillas.
In 1941, the Japanese army launched the "Three Passes" operation, shouting the slogan "Kill them all, burn them all, and rob them all". They carried out large-scale massacres of local residents in all anti-Japanese base areas, robbed local living supplies and food, and He burned down the entire village before leaving. Trying to intimidate the people and destroy the mass base of the Communist Party. This action was maintained for a long time and had a certain impact on the revolutionary base areas.
At the end of the year, the base area issued a policy to fight against "no man's land". Deng Yufen called back her husband and two sons (the fourth son and the fifth son) who had gone out to do odd jobs and joined the Anti-Japanese Self-Defense Army. In March 1942, Deng Yufen's family and many local people actively responded to the call of the Anti-Japanese Base Area to "return to the mountains for spring plowing" and prepared to restart planting in no-man's land. Deng Yufen's husband, fourth son, and fifth son went to the mountains to settle down first.
This was the most severe period of the struggle. Unfortunately, they encountered the Japanese army while farming. As a result, Ren Wuzong and his fifth son were massacred by the Japanese army on the spot. After the fourth son was arrested, he was tortured in the Japanese prison. .
After learning about the death of her husband and son, Deng Yufen was heartbroken, but the anger in her heart grew stronger and stronger. Why did the Japanese kill people indiscriminately? Her family members could not die in vain. So she took her two young sons and went up the mountain regardless of the persuasion of her relatives and friends. I picked up farm tools and worked hard on farming in Zhutou Ridge, and also devoted a lot of energy to reclaiming wasteland.
In 1942, when the Japanese army attacked the Panshan Anti-Japanese Base Area, the eldest son fought bravely and was unfortunately shot and died. The whereabouts of the third son are also unknown.
In the summer of 1943, news came from the organization about the fourth son who had been captured. He refused to cooperate with the Japanese army in order to protect his family, villagers and party organizations in prison, and finally died tragically in the Japanese army's Anshan Prison.
In the fall, the second son was injured and was sent home to recuperate. However, because the injury was too serious, the doctors could not save him and he died at home.
In 1944, in order to attack the anti-Japanese base areas, the Japanese and puppet troops intensified their efforts to clear the "no man's land" and surrounded the known anti-Japanese base areas. Zhutou Ridge was no exception and was surrounded by Japanese troops. Deng Yufen, party organization cadres and villagers were all scattered and hiding in the secret cave of Zhutou Ridge. But bringing their seventh son, who was under ten years old, became an uncertain factor. The child was sick and couldn't bear hunger, so he just kept crying.
Deng Yufen was afraid that her crying would attract the Japanese troops and harm the fellow villagers, so she tore open her cotton-padded jacket, pulled out a ball of cotton wool from inside and blocked the child's mouth. She covered his mouth tightly until the Japanese troops left. Only then dare to let go. But the child's condition became even worse. His face was blue and purple, and he could not speak clearly clearly. He was just shouting unconsciously. After trying hard to listen, he realized that he was hungry, but Deng Yufen could not do anything.
The Japanese army must have found the village and will not leave anything behind. Maybe a lot of fire has burned it all. Moreover, the Japanese army must not have gone far. If they went out to look for food, if the Japanese army discovered them, they would definitely continue to search the mountain. They would not give up if they could not find anyone, so they could only ignore the children. At night, the child died forever due to illness and hunger.
In 1946, Deng Yufen’s sixth son, Ren Yongen, participated in the War of Liberation and made many meritorious services. In the Battle of Huangtuozi in 1948, he died heroically.
Throughout her life, Mother Deng continued to send her relatives off to war, and she also continued to accept their permanent departure. Deng Yufen looked at the prosperity of New China in her later years and said while crying: " It's worth it, their sacrifices are worth it. "
