On April 28, 2007, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Comrade Li Dazhao's heroic death, Li Dazhao's former residence was officially opened to the public and registered as a museum. In March 2020, it was listed as "the former site of the Red Building of Peking University and the early revolutionary activities of the Communist Party of China in Beijing".
