Henry V (1387–1422), reigned from 1413–1422. During his brief nine-year reign, he achieved military glory unmatched by any medieval English king. He conquered France and became the first French king in name only. Henry V was a fanatic. His only purpose in life was to conquer France. He had no time to enjoy a comfortable family life. It was regrettable but also lucky to die in the prime of life. He was not only a warrior but also an excellent politician. He died in August 1422 at the age of 35.
