After Xia Liangbai learned about Wang Yanzhou's story, he was very concerned about it and personally wrote a letter to the army for him, asking Wang Yanzhou to go to Anyang to rehabilitate him.

Later, after Chinese People's Liberation Army Air Force review, Wang Yanzhou's treatment was successfully restored. At the same time, people were also sent to Wang Yanzhou's local unit to rehabilitate him.

After being ordinary, Wang Yanzhou, who was used to the ordinary rural life, did not use it to show off, and hoped to keep it quiet. Most people in the village did not know that this old man turned out to be a hero of the Anti-Japanese War.

In 2005, Wang Yanzhou was invited to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War.
