Death Knight is the latest profession of Hearthstone and will join the tavern in the upcoming expansion package "The Advance of the Lich King". The Death Knight has a variety of abilities and can master extremely destructive blood, frost and undead powers. They also have unique career mechanisms and special building rules.
. Hero Skills: Ghoul Charge
The hero skill of the Death Knight is Ghoul Charge, which consumes 2 mana points. A ghoul Charge summons a ghoul with a 1/1 charge, but it dies at the end of the turn.
2. Occupational mechanism: corpse
Whenever a friendly minion dies, the Death Knight will obtain a corpse. This is a special profession exclusive resource that can enhance some cards. Each friendly minion will leave a corpse, including the minion you use, the minion you summoned with other cards, the minion reborn from the keywords of the return of the resurrection, and the ghoul summoned by the hero's skills!
3. Career construction mechanism: Rune
You may have noticed that there is a color symbol next to the mana value consumption of some Death Knight cards, which is the rune. There are three types of runes, representing one of the specialties of the Death Knight: red represents blood, blue represents frost, and green represents evil. These runes determine the cards you can choose when building a Death Knight deck.
When building a deck, you need to combine any of three runes to decide which Death Knight card you can add to the deck. You can choose all the same runes (such as three blood runes), or you can specialize mainly in one rune and pair it with other runes (such as two evils and one frost). The rune system gives the Death Knight a wider variety of powerful cards, while ensuring that there are no all-around decks. Each rune focuses on specific types of cards and effects.

Blood rune is the strongest rune. Blood cards are usually field control effects and large minions, and some cards can also control the upper limit of health.

frost rune has strong burst potential. Frost Cards have many spell combinations, including direct damage, checking, mana control and freezing effects.

Evil Runes have the most powerful control over the army of undead. Evil cards are good at summoning undead minions, summoning large groups of minions, and generating and using corpses.
Generally speaking, the more you focus on a certain rune, the more you can use the specialized area of that rune. Some of the most powerful cards of the Death Knight require you to use only one type of runes. However, sometimes, using secondary runes can cover up the shortcomings of the primary runes. For example, the blood rune system generally has only a small number of large minions, and does not use small minions to lay the field. You can choose to use powerful cards that require three blood runes, or add an evil rune to help generate corpses.
In addition, some Death Knight cards have no rune restrictions. These cards are universal cards that can be integrated into various Death Knight decks.

When building a deck, the runes you choose will be automatically updated to the cards that can be added to the deck. You can choose to "Show all runes" while building, or you can cancel this option. The construction interface will dynamically filter cards and automatically hide cards that are incompatible with rune selection.
You can also filter card collections based on runes through "Runes: xxx", "x" can be "blood", "ice" or "evil". For example, searching for "Run: Blood Blood" can find all double blood cards, and searching for "Run: Evil" can find all single evil cards.
In addition, you can search by runes and then enter numbers to indicate the number of runes. For example, searching for "Evil:1" can find all single evil cards. You can also add scopes. For example, searching for "Frost: 1-2" can find all single and double frost cards.
Frost is a special case because it is both a rune and a spell faction. To make the difference, you can now search for Frost Spell Faction Cards without finding Frost Rune Cards. You can also search for "Factions: None" to find spells that do not belong to any spell faction.
These tips can help you browse and collect and show your construction skills! Of course, players who are unwilling to experience runes and build systems can continue to use the deck code and autofill functions.
5. Death Knight core series
Under the constraints of the rune system, the cards available to the Death Knight during construction will be restricted. To make up for this, Death Knight will have the largest core series of all Hearthstone classes!
When "The Lich King's Armour" is online, you can complete the special Death Knight prologue, follow the footsteps of Arthas Minaihil, and embark on the dark misalignment of becoming the Lich King. Complete the prologue and you can unlock the core series of Death Knights with 32 cards for free!
. When the Road of Alsace series
"The Advance of the Lich King" is online, we will also launch the independent Death Knight series "The Road of Alsace" to help the Death Knight catch up with other professions. The Alsace Road contains 26 different Death Knight cards*, designed for cooperation with the Death Knight core series of cards, and can form three decks of Death Knight initial decks to help you join the Ladder battle immediately.
*Total 49 cards: 3 legendary cards, 3 epic cards (x2), 9 rare cards (x2), and 11 ordinary cards (x2).
The complete Alsace Road series is also included in the "The Lich King's March" super collection. After the expansion package is launched, the Road to Alsace can also be purchased separately, with the choice of normal (2000 gold coins or 98 runestones) or golden version (388 runestones). The golden version contains all golden cards from the Alsace Road series, with diamond legend card Ms. Dead Speaker (also available as a separate product). Cards on the Road of Alsace are not available from the card pack and can only be obtained by pre-ordering the Super Collection, purchasing separately, or crafting.
