The great writer Mr. Mo Yan grew sorghum and brewed fine wine in his hometown "Gaomi Northeast Township" on the Jiaodong Peninsula in Shandong Province. He also wrote his famous and representative work "Red Sorghum Family".
After Mo Yan won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2012, his hometown "Ping'an Village, Heya Township" in Gaomi City, Weifang, Shandong Province, returned to the Northeast Township Cultural Development Zone in 2015. In 2016, Dalan Village and Ping'an Village merged to form "Ping'an Village" Dalan Ping An Village".

According to Mo Yan's essay "Liquor and Me", his drinking career started secretly, and later his mother regarded his drunkenness as a sign of adulthood. In the autumn of 1988, Mo Yan once drank 42 glasses of liquor with his "buddies" from his hometown, and took out a dozen beers. In the 1990s, after Mo Yan suffered a serious stomach attack, he no longer dared to drink more.
Mo Yan also wrote a novel " Liquor Country " that criticizes reality, trying to clean up the sins of wine and awaken people in the drunken country.
Mo Yan imitated Sun Jiuling's "Wine and Sex Poem" and wrote:
If there is no fine wine in the world, how can a man survive?

If literature doesn’t involve drinking and sex, what else would the works be worth seeing?
If a man is not obsessed with wine and sex, who is willing to suffer?
If you are not moved by wine and sex, won’t your life come to an end?
