On November 29, 2022, the Red Cross Emergency Aid Competition for Faculty and Staff of Provincial and Ministry-affiliated Universities jointly organized by the Fujian Provincial Red Cross Society and the Fujian Provincial Department of Education was held in Fuzhou. 23 college representative teams and 115 players participated in the competition. The theme of this competition is "Save on Campus" and teamed up with Red Cross ambulance staff and participated in the competition through strict selection. The competition is divided into individual competitions and team competitions. The competition refers to the scope and technical standards of the practical assessment of the 6th National Red Cross Emergency Aid Competition, including two aspects: adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation (including AED use) operation and trauma rescue (on-site hemostasis and bandage of left forearm bleeding). The competition will show practical drills such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, AED use, hemostasis, bandaging, and fixation, highlighting the effectiveness of the Red Cross emergency rescue training "entering campus".
In the competition, the good psychological quality and skillful rescue skills of each team fully demonstrated the style of the Red Cross emergency rescuers in the new era and the strength of on-site rescue. After fierce competition, 9 people including Fan Liming won the personal comprehensive award, 9 people including Zhang Gui won the individual cardiopulmonary resuscitation single award, Fan Liming won the individual trauma rescue single award, 6 universities including Putian College won the excellent organization award, Fujian Bioengineering Vocational and Technical College won the group first prize, Fujian Health Vocational and Technical College , Xiamen University won the group second prize, Fujian Engineering College , Fujian Normal University , and Fujian Police College won the group third prize. Among them, the team that won the first, second and third prizes of the group will represent provincial (ministerial) universities to participate in the final of the 7th Provincial Red Cross Emergency Aid Competition, and have the opportunity to compete for the "Fujian Province May 1st Labor Medal", "Fujian Province Gold Medal Worker", "Fujian Province Worker (May 1st) Pioneer" and other related awards.
It is reported that since 2017, the Fujian Provincial Red Cross has implemented the "Healthy Fujian 2030" Action Plan" of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, and carried out emergency rescue activities such as "entering communities", "entering rural areas", "entering schools", "entering enterprises", "entering agencies", and "entering families", and continuously improving the popularity and coverage of emergency rescue. Up to now, the province has trained 510,000 Red Cross ambulance workers, and more than 1.9 million people have benefited from the popularization of training. Among them, 38,887 ambulance rescuers were trained for college teachers and students.
