I graduated from the Chinese Department of Hangzhou University in 1977 and came to Xinfeng Middle School to teach at the suburbs (then called Jiaxing County). After 7 years, I served as the secretary of the Youth League Committee for two terms. At that time, high school was a two-year system. The school had only two classes in the first and second grades of high school, and there were no senior high school students. There were 8 classes in total, with about 50 students in each class and about 200 students. Most of them were students of poor and lower-middle peasants in the local rural areas.
At that time, the school was also popular for poor and lower-middle peasants (i.e., the poverty propaganda team) and the work propaganda team. The school was called the Revolutionary Committee, and the leader was not called the principal, but the director of the Revolutionary Committee. The school is led by the local commune and is called Xinfeng Commune Middle School. For major matters, the opinions of the Workers' Propaganda Team's Poverty Propaganda Team must be solicited. The party branch is basically aside. There are only four or five party members in the school. The party members have not played a role and have not developed new party members. The Communist Youth League members have basically stopped their activities, and the League organization is in a paralyzed or semi-paralyzed state.
1978-1979, the Third National Games of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was held in Beijing. The plenary session began to comprehensively and conscientiously correct the "Cultural Revolution" and its previous "left-leaning" mistakes, criticized the wrong policy of "two whatevers", and highly praised the discussion on the issue of the standard of truth. We determined the policy of emancipating the mind, seeking truth from facts, and looking forward in unity, and decisively stopped using the slogan of "class struggle as the mainstay", and made a historic decision to shift the focus of our work to modernization construction and implement reform and opening up.
Deng Xiaoping presided over the science education work and carried out drastic reforms to the science education and enrollment examinations. The following is to restore the responsibility system of the party branch and the principal and restore the enrollment examination system. The original Workers' Propaganda Team's Poverty Propaganda Team was evacuated from the school, and the party branch was short of members. Because I was a party member, I was supplemented into the team and became a propaganda member of the party branch. The party branch is approved by the local commune. At that time, as a capable assistant to the Communist Party, developing the Communist Youth League and caring about the construction of the Communist Youth League was put on the agenda.
According to the party branch division of labor, I assisted the branch member and personnel cadre Yao Shenyu to do a good job in the Communist Youth League. At this time, the school’s Communist Youth League work began to pay attention to it. By April 1979, Xinfeng People's Commune Middle School was renamed Jiaxing County Xinfeng Middle School, and the school was under the management of Jiaxing County Education Bureau. The following year, the administrative area of Jiaxing County was adjusted again, and the county system was abolished and the county system was renamed and Jiaxing City (county-level city). Xinfeng Middle School has been identified as a (county-level) key middle school.
After the school determined the key middle schools (county level), the county increased financial allocations and expanded teaching buildings and office buildings. The school's school system and enrollment methods were readjusted. At the same time, key teachers were drawn from various places, and the high school system was restored to the 3-year system. Another 6 classes in junior high school were recruited, becoming a 6-year full-time junior high school.
In August 1983, Jiaxing county-level city was changed to a provincial city, with urban areas and suburbs at the municipal level, and implemented a system of municipal-controlled counties. In November of the same year, it was changed to Jiaxing Xinfeng Middle School. The school was under the management of the Suburban Culture and Education Bureau. At this time, the school had developed to 18 classes of full middle school . However, due to changes in the administrative region, the League work has not kept up with the changes in organizational affiliation. The local town Youth League Committee cannot manage the school and the League work is in a suspended state.
1984, according to the requirements of the superiors, the suburbs should establish a district Youth League Committee. The first suburban regiment congress was held from June 27 to 29, 1984. Represented 350 people.Xu Zaiming, deputy secretary of the district party committee, wrote "Ambition to reform, forge ahead, and become a commando team that creates a new situation in socialist modernization construction", Li Renzhu wrote a report on "Study hard, work bravely, and contributes youth to socialist modernization construction", elected 29 members of the first suburban Youth League Congress, and 7 members of the first committee meeting, Lu Shiming was the secretary, and Li Renzhu and Zhang Jun were the deputy secretary.
According to the requirements of the Youth League District Committee, in order to actively carry out the Communist Youth League work in a complete middle school, it is necessary to establish a Youth League Committee. The secretary of the Youth League Committee of the Middle School can work full-time or part-time, equivalent to the school’s teaching director and enjoy the treatment of middle-level cadres of the school. To this end, Secretary Lu Shiming of the District Youth League Committee and Personnel Cadres of the District Education Bureau made a special trip to Xinfeng Middle School for inspection. He thought that it was more appropriate for me to be the secretary of the Youth League Committee. I also filled out the cadre performance form and applied to the District Organization Department.
After I became the secretary of the Youth League Committee, I still took on the teaching work of the school, teaching and administration in class. I actively participate in various activities of the district Youth League Committee and try to arrange time to teach and administer both. In November of that year, the Municipal Youth League Committee held a two-week full-time Youth League cadres in the city and county (city) district. This is my first time to go out training since I became the secretary of the Youth League Committee. There are more than 20 Youth League cadres from suburban townships, and a special team of Youth League cadres in suburban townships has been established.
That training was heard by Shao Jianhua, Secretary of the Municipal Youth League Committee, on the spirit of the first congress of the city's Communist Youth League after the abolition of the prefecture and establishment of the city. He also listened to the tutoring of the "Code of Work for Middle School League" specially made by the School Work Department of the Municipal Youth League, requiring the " Five Lectures, Four Beauties, Three Loves " to be carried out in the city's Communist Youth League, and strive to be a new Long March assaulter and lead the new trend of the times; required the activities of learning from Lei Feng, setting a model, and striving to be the "three good students" in schools.
The second summer, he participated in the week-long summer camp for the whole district of Nanjing, Changzhou, , and carried out the Youth League work study and exchange with the Youth League cadres in some townships and schools in Nanjing and Changzhou. In the third year, he participated in the training of middle school youth league cadres organized by the Provincial Youth League School, and visited the middle school Communist Youth League Practical Education Base at Anji , and listened to the leaders of the Youth League Committee on combining school teaching with production labor, and cultivated teaching experience in the comprehensive development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics and labor.
Through multiple trainings, I have greatly improved my organizational work skills, expanded my horizons, and strengthened my belief in doing group work. According to the "Regulations on the Work of the League of Middle Schools" of the Youth League Committee, I have done my job seriously, starting from organizational implementation, and establishing and improving the Youth League organization. Each class has established Youth League branches, and there are 4 classes in the grades to establish Youth League general branches. We will carefully inspect and select the Youth League branch and Youth League general branch secretaries to establish a list of Youth League members to ensure organizational implementation. Implement the registration system for League member activities, the system of paying the League fees on time, the new League member development system, and the system of regular League class attendance. Changed the previous phenomenon of the group working in a stagnant mass and no activity stopped.
In order to make the team work attractive, enhance the sense of honor of the League members, and promote students' positive desire for knowledge, I also cooperate with the teaching and research groups of the school's teaching department to carry out the encyclopedia knowledge and intelligence quiz competition for 100 questions about politics, literature, history, and geography. I use a modern electronic quiz machine to formulate competition rules and complete the quiz within the specified time. There are groups and individual quiz competitions. This is of great help to exercise students' thinking and analysis abilities and realize their intellectual potential. After the school competition, outstanding contestants were selected to participate in the competition organized by the Youth League Committee and then trained. At that time, many students selected to participate in the Youth League Committee were rewarded.
After returning from provincial training, the urban education department began to pay attention to the school's training of students' labor skills, and held weekly labor skills elective courses or extracurricular interest groups, including 10 types such as photography, flower planting, cutting, and cooking to cultivate students' labor concepts. I also organized students to actively participate in the science and technology summer camp organized by the Youth League Committee, the Science and Technology Association and other departments to cultivate the concept of the Communist Youth League students loving science; every year, I also use the "Five ▪4" Youth Day to actively carry out cultural and artistic performances and commendation activities for outstanding Communist Youth League members and League cadres, thus greatly enlivening the life of the Communist Youth League.
According to the requirements of the district Youth League Committee, I also carried out exchange activities between townships and school Youth League Committees, and successively visited Xinneng, Wangjiangjing, Fengqiao and Wangdian Town Youth League Committees, and established friendly Youth League Committees with the Youth League Committee of Zhapu Middle School to carry out mutual exchanges, visits and learning activities. At the same time, we also strive to do a good job in Young Pioneers' construction activities, and carry out activities suitable for Young Pioneers on the Children's Day.
I also carry out party building activities to lead the Youth League building activities, and undertake party classes for young members of the Communist Youth League. At least twice a year, I will send two activists to the party organization. Since I have been working on the Youth League Committee for two terms, the work of the Communist Youth League has been on track. The school’s Youth League Committee and individuals have successively won the honorary titles of municipal outstanding Youth League cadres and municipal advanced Youth League Committee.
I have worked with many township Youth League Committee secretaries for two sessions, and a few have worked for three sessions. After leaving the Youth League job, they either change careers or are promoted to do business, becoming the leader of the Party Committee and government departments, becoming the leader of economic construction, and becoming a professional teaching expert. However, the Communist Youth League's original aspiration to keep in mind its mission remained unchanged and still played a greater youthful power in all work.
