In the classroom of the Central School of Ciying Town, Yangcheng County, Jincheng City, Shanxi Province, the old teacher Wu Aiguo was surrounded by students. The children found this experimental class on "force and exercise" interesting. This semester, Wu Aiguo will teach two grades of science and music classes.
Wu Aiguo is 59 years old this year. In 1981, he graduated from high school and became a private primary school teacher and came to Beiciying Village, Yangcheng County to teach. "At that time, the school was set up in an ancient temple. It rained heavily in summer and had to make charcoal fires to keep warm in winter. The conditions were quite difficult." Recalling the past, Wu Aiguo couldn't help but sigh.
In 1984, Wu Aiguo was admitted to Jincheng Normal School and became a formal teacher after graduation. For many years, Wu Aiguo has been rooted in the valley of his hometown. "Go wherever you need it."
Wu Aiguo has witnessed the changes of the times and the progress of education work. In 2007, more than 5 villages and small villages in were merged in to establish the Ciying Town Central School. There are clean and tidy school buildings, multimedia classrooms, and standardized playgrounds here. The school also established Rural Youth Palace , and opened 7 interest classes including dance, music, art, etc., and the conditions of mountain primary schools are getting better and better. Ciying Town Central School is also a boarding school, and most of the students are left-behind children. Wu Aiguo spent time with them day and night, hoping to make the children's childhood more warm and happy.
More than 40 years have passed. Wu Aiguo has taught in seven rural primary schools, teaching Chinese, mathematics, science and music, and half of them served as class teachers. "I was born here and grew up here. I didn't feel the pain of teaching in a village primary school." Day after day, the protection of his simple words turned into his simple words.
