Middlebury College was founded in 1800 and is the first American higher education institution to award undergraduate bachelor's degree to African Americans. For a long time, Middlebury College has been at the forefront of the top liberal arts colleges in the United States.
Middlebury College adopts a 4-1-4 semester setting, namely Fall (4 courses)-Winter (1 course)-Autumn (4 courses). During this month-long winter semester, students only need to complete one credit card. But this does not mean that it is easy, because the weekly contact hour is at least 8 hours, and the study during this period involves a lot of field research, independent study, internships and interdisciplinary study.
Middlebury College has over 850 courses and 44 majors, setting up a rich range of undergraduate and graduate majors that closely link the college with different countries and regions and cultures.
