Teacher Duan, after the college entrance examination, through what channels can candidates study abroad?
The current main ways are to apply through domestic study abroad agencies, secondly to apply through the international office of domestic universities, and thirdly to apply for public funds from the China Scholarship Council. Fourth, individual students apply directly to overseas universities.
What changes do you think have occurred in study abroad destinations in recent years?
In the past few years, the main study abroad destinations were Europe and North America. In recent years, they have become diversified. In addition to traditional destinations, countries surrounding China that are relatively close have become the choice of many international students, such as Hong Kong and Macao, The epidemic in Singapore, Russia, etc.
has greatly restricted the convenience of travel between China and foreign countries. Do you think it is still suitable to go abroad now?
I think it will have some impact on the travel costs of international students, especially in Europe and North America, where the cost has increased. In Asia, the distance is relatively small, so the impact is not significant. In terms of safety, students need to take personal protection and hope that the epidemic will pass as soon as possible.
For students who are preparing to study abroad, what preparations do you think they should make?
I think students need to improve their way of thinking as soon as possible, because the domestic college entrance examination focuses on students' learning ability, while overseas universities value not only learning ability, but also language expression ability, communication skills, organizational skills and leadership.
