In 1948, The Shandong Provincial Department of Education decided to resume the school in Laiyang. In 1950, it was renamed Shandong Laiyang Normal School. In 1958, Laiyang Normal School was renamed Laiyang Normal College. In 1960, the junior college was moved to Yantai, and Yantai Normal College was established. Stay in Laiyang and restore the name of Laiyang Normal School

In 1932, it was founded Penglai Rural Simple Teachers

In 2011, it merged with Laiyang Normal School to form Ludong University College of Elementary Education. In 2020, it was renamed Yantai Preschool Teachers College. School
Ludong University
On June 25, 1958, the Laiyang Prefectural Committee and the Administrative Office decided to prepare Laiyang Normal College on the basis of Laiyang Normal University. Later, in accordance with the spirit of superior instructions, Laiyang Normal College was transformed into Laiyang Normal College, under the supervision of the Laiyang Prefectural Committee of the Communist Party of China. It is a deputy department level unit. On September 16, all the teachers, students and employees of the school held the opening ceremony of the school at the Laiyang Workers Club.
In June 1960, junior college classes began to move to the new campus in Yantai. In December, it was officially renamed Yantai Normal College. The Central Normal School was stationed in Laiyang, and the name of Laiyang Normal School in Shandong Province was restored. After

Judging from the history of the three schools, Laiyang Normal University is the school with the oldest history and the highest starting point. Ludong University is even the "junior" of Laiyang Normal University. However, the survival of a school does not depend on seniority, but on advantages.

Although Laiyang Normal University relied on its strong foundation and strong teaching staff to persist as one of the only two normal schools in Yantai City , it was not the same as Penglai Normal School. When the teacher decided to stay or go, he was still at a disadvantage.

Third, the disadvantage of affiliation . In 1999, Penglai Normal University was affiliated with Yantai Normal University and issued a junior college diploma from Yantai Normal University. In 2007, the school became the Ludong University Yantai Primary School teacher training base, and normal graduates were awarded Ludong University junior college diploma. Merged with Laiyang Normal University to establish the Elementary Education College of Ludong University, which became the advantage of Penglai Normal University.
Fourth, economic disadvantage . When the school was merged, Penglai City was already one of the top 100 counties in the country, and its economic strength was stronger than Laiyang. The economy can create a better environment for a school, provide more conveniences, and lay the foundation for school development.
