Volvo (Volvo) new generation flagship pure electric SUV - EX90. The original factory is scheduled to be released on November 9. Before the official announcement of EX90, Volvo CEO confirmed that there is another new pure electric product to be launched one after another. It will be a small pure electric SUV positioned under the XC40 Recharge and may be called EX30.
In recent years, there have been constant rumors that Volvo will launch a smaller pure electric SUV than the XC40 Recharge. In September this year, Volvo's Australian general manager Stephen Connor has confirmed to the outside world that it is true. Now Volvo's CEO Håkan Samuelsson has officially confirmed that after the EX90 is released, Volvo will also launch a smaller pure electric SUV and will also use a brand new naming mode.
From the new naming logic applied from EX90, Volvo's full small pure electric SUV should be named after EX30.
According to previous relevant information, EX30 should be built using Geely Auto 's SEA platform. The Smart Elf #1 small pure electric SUV that has been launched in China is built using this platform and has a maximum range of 560 kilometers. The outside world expects that the EX30, which is also built with the SEA platform, may have the same level or even better battery life.
But according to Håkan Samuelsson, EX30 will most likely be produced and manufactured in China like Smart Elf #1. Judging from this operation, China will become a must-fight place for major automobile manufacturers in the future.
