The lotus petals are membrane structures. The total amount of the entire project is large, the design is complex, and the construction is difficult. Jinxin Space encountered unprecedented technical problems in the project. The total area of petals of
20 sizes reaches more than 11,000 square meters. All petals must be automatically opened and closed at the same time. In order to solve the structural stability and safety of the petals during opening and closing and stage rotation, the team used rich experience to complete innovation in design and construction technology; the outer layer of
petals uses PTFE film , and the inner lining uses PTFE grid film. We solved the problem of seamless welding of of PTFE grid film and conventional membrane fabric (because in construction, professional tools and construction technology must be provided in order to prevent glass fiber from being broken), enhanced the rendering effect of laser lights, and created an immersive stage effect.
