Mount Wutai, one of the four famous Buddhist mountains in my country, is located in Mount Wutai in Shanxi Province. It is said to be the ashram of Manjusri Bodhisattva . For thousands of years, monks have come here to practice, and there are many enlightened masters who have achieved enlightenment.

To this day, there are countless legends related to Mount Wutai, including many miraculous events such as "apparitions".
The most recent strange event occurred on May 1, 2007. Tourists who were worshiping in Mount Wutai discovered that the top of Manjushri Bodhisattva's pagoda at Qingliang Temple suddenly emitted colorful rays of light, which illuminated the entire Mount Wutai, adding a lot of solemnity and mystery.
This scene is rare to see in a hundred years. For a time, those who originally believed in Buddhism immediately knelt down and worshiped on the ground. Even the lay visitors who came to visit began to have doubts in their hearts. Is it possible that there are really gods in Mount Wutai?
There were many media people in Mount Wutai at that time. One of the reporters was lucky enough to take a picture of this wonderful scene. In the picture, a majestic image of Manjushri Bodhisattva was revealed in a cloud of auspicious light, which seemed to advise the world to respect the gods.

This photo was later introduced into the society, and people could not explain this scene. However, people had different opinions on whether it was a manifestation of a deity. Some said it was nonsense, while others believed that seeing was believing, and believed that it was probably a bodhisattva.
So, what is going on?
Qingliang Temple in Mount Wutai was first built in the period of Liuzhuang, Emperor Ming of the Han Dynasty, and was called Lingjiu Temple at that time. Because Emperor Ming of the Han Dynasty praised Buddhism, Buddhism spread in the East. And Mount Wutai gradually became the "dojo" of Manjushri Bodhisattva. This Bodhisattva was a powerful figure beside the Buddha Sakyamuni, and was the first of the four great Bodhisattvas . This shows that Mount Wutai has a lofty status in Buddhism.
In fact, there are rumors of miraculous events in Mount Wutai from all dynasties. For example, in 19878, the Shanxi Federation of Literary and Art Circles organized more than 30 authors to go to Mount Wutai to collect stories. When everyone came to the part where the Falun rotated, several people behaved very frivolously. There were even female authors who went to spin the wheel despite dissuasion. At the same time, everyone was booing and the atmosphere was very lively.

The next day, the author team visited the "Buddha Mother's Cave" again, and some blasphemous words and deeds still occurred. One of the male authors went in alone, and when he came out, he told everyone that he could see his own internal organs in the cave, but no one believed it. Everyone continued to joke about "Buddha Mother", and their words and deeds were very unsightly.
After the game, when everyone was taking the bus back, the bus had a car accident and almost everyone was unconscious for a while.
After waking up, he found that someone's chest was blood red and someone's head had a long gash. When everyone got off the bus, they saw that the bus body was full of cracks. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured, and of course there were no deaths.
Some time further back, probably during the Anti-Japanese War period, there were also miraculous deeds of Bodhisattvas appearing in Mount Wutai.

Around May 1935, an Eighth Route Army team came to Wutai Mountain to rest and recuperate. At that time, two divisions of the Japanese invading army were mopping up Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei. The Eighth Route Army, which was resting in Wutai Mountain, received an order to increase its troops in Taihuai Town.
Due to the huge disparity in strength between the enemy and ourselves and the inferior equipment, the reinforced Eighth Route Army was forced to the Copper Coin Valley and finally lost its way.
Finally, an old man appeared out of nowhere and led the Eighth Route Army soldiers out of danger on a hidden path. But just when everyone wanted to express their gratitude to the old man, the old man disappeared out of thin air. Everyone said that it was the appearance of Manjushri Bodhisattva.
The legend about this old man also appeared earlier, that is, shortly after the Qing Dynasty entered the customs, Emperor Shunzhi suddenly became a monk. As his son, Emperor Kangxi once wanted to find his father. Later, he heard that Shunzhi became a monk in Mount Wutai, so he came here to look for him.

But Kangxi soon lost his way in Wutai Mountain. When he was wandering around aimlessly, an old man with a lantern appeared and took him directly to the room where Shunzhi practiced. The old man disappeared in the blink of an eye, as if he had never appeared. Kangxi said that this was probably the appearance of Manjusri Bodhisattva.
In the 1960s, due to the prevailing atmosphere, many buildings in Mount Wutai were damaged. But soon an old man would appear, not only punishing those who destroyed Buddhist temples, but even admonishing people to do good by words and deeds.
In short, the phenomenon of gods appearing in Mount Wutai has existed since ancient times, but whether it is really a manifestation of gods or another coincidence has not yet been determined.

But no matter what, it is better to believe that they exist than to believe that they do not exist. Regarding Bodhisattvas and gods, you don’t have to believe them, but you still have to not offend them. Do you think this view is correct?
