1903, Master Qing Ding was born in an ordinary family in Gaoli Village, Gaoli Township, Sanmen County, Zhejiang Province. The common name is Zheng Quanshan . The master has been sensible, well-behaved and wise since he was a child. He has read the Four Books and Five Classics at a young age. It is extraordinary and was once praised by his neighbors as a "child prodigy in the world."

Half a year later, Master Qing Ding knew that the country was the time to employ people. Out of patriotic enthusiasm, he decided to join the army to serve the country. Soon, he successfully entered the fifth phase of the Army Officer's School (, Whampoa Military Academy ). Because of his outstanding performance and outstanding ability in the military academy, he was highly valued by military officers and recommended to study in the Nanjing Political Training Research Class.

After graduation, Master Qingding was full of enthusiasm for serving the country and was assigned to work in the Political Training Department of the Peking Branch of the Central Military Commission. Due to his high qualifications and ability to shoulder the heavy military responsibilities, he served as the major secretary as soon as he entered the Political Training Department. After working for a period of time, Master Qingding was transferred to Nanjing at the request of his superiors to serve as the lieutenant colonel director of the Military Transportation Research Institute of the Central Military Commission and the assistant secretary of the Shanghai Branch of the Chinese National Rejuvenation Society. Here, Master Qingding hosted the concentrated military training for Shanghai college and middle school students twice, and served as the director of colonel political training.

Master Qingding had already formed a connection with Buddha when he was young. His parents were both devout Buddhists. The couple had always adhered to the Buddhist path and were kind and generous. Whenever the first and fifteenth days of the lunar month, the couple would take Master Qingding to the temple to burn incense and worship Buddha. Inspired by Buddhist culture, Master Qingding planted the seeds of Bodhi in the eight consciousness fields when he was young.

Especially during his study at " Guangzhou University ", Master Qing Ding chose the Department of Philosophy. He explored the importance of Buddhism in the world from his philosophical thoughts, and therefore became more obsessed with Buddhism. Sometimes, he would invite a few fellow Buddhists to go to the temple to listen to the sutras and Dharma.

After entering the work, although Master Qingding worked hard, served the country with loyalty, and made outstanding contributions to the army, he still felt that the world was impermanent and the normal state of suffering in life. Over time, he was tired of worldly intrigue and decided to accompany the ancient Buddha Qingdeng and became a monk under the seat of Master Yicheng, Ciyun Temple on Shizi Mountain, South Bank, Chongqing.

After becoming a monk, Master Qingding worked with the crowd on the one hand and learned Buddhist etiquette on the other hand, and lived a very hard life. Even if it is difficult to become a monk, it cannot shake his firm faith in the Buddha. Under the influence of the ringtone of the Buddha's name day and night, his inner Dharma joy is filled with , and he is pure and free.

A few months after becoming a monk, Mr. Yihui preached the precepts at Zhaojue Temple in Chengdu. There were endless monks coming to take the precepts from all over the place. Master Qingding received the full precepts under the arrangement of his master. After receiving the precepts, he had great faith and was diligent and brave, and settled in the Sutra Tower, and compiled the Three Collections of Sutras and Verses.

In 1942, Master Nenghai returned from Tibet to Chengdu. Under the recommendation of the old monk Guanyi , Master Qingding met Master Nenghai and successively studied Buddhism with Master Nenghai in Wenshu Temple , Baoguang Temple , and Jinci Temple . Under the careful guidance of Master Nenghai, Qing Ding was like a poor man entering Baoshan, and his practice of Buddhist Tantra to a higher level.

In 1945, Master Qing Ding entered the Vajra Temple founded by Master Nenghai to study. Soon after, he followed the master to Longxing Temple in Pengxian County to study, listen to the lecture on the great power of Manjushri, and achieved the "Stage of Life and Perfection". In 1946, Master Qing Ding followed the order of Master Nenghai to attend the Dharma Assembly in Wuhan, Shanghai and other places, and formed the Shanghai Vajra Temple. After returning to Chongqing, he presided over the construction of Chongqing Vajra Temple, providing a larger space for fellow practitioners to practice Tantric Buddhism.

1955, Master Qingding was wrongly imprisoned for being treated unfairly, and suffered various hardships during this period. During the Cultural Revolution, the rebels visited major monasteries to suppress the development of Buddhism. Many monks were forced to return to secular life, but he was generous and contented, and with the spirit of saving the world with great compassion, he practiced carefully for twenty years and finally achieved great freedom.

In 1976, Master Qing Ding was rehabilitated. He returned to his hometown to teach Buddhism despite his age. On the one hand, he preached to the public, and on the other hand, he saved the world by the people, curing diseases and saving lives. Master Qing Ding learned Chinese medicine in his early years and knew how to cure diseases. His superb medical skills cured many difficult and complicated diseases. He was known as "Miaoshou Hua Tuo".

1980, the national religious policy was freely implemented. At the invitation of the Chinese Buddhist Association, Master Qingding went to Guoqing Temple in Tiantai Mountain to preach the Dharma. He listened to the Dharma and believed in the crowd and benefited endlessly. A few years later, Master Qing Ding went to Chengdu Shijing Temple as the first, and successively presided over the construction of many temples such as Shijing Temple and Zhaojue Temple .

Master Qingding did not care about his age and did not fear the difficulties of starting a business, and worked hard to revitalize the temple. In addition, the master paid great attention to talent cultivation. He believed that the rise of Buddhism was related to talent, so he worked hard to teach and teach, founded a practice temple, and provided a complete learning environment for later Buddhists. Through years of hard work, Master Qingding lived up to everyone's expectations and worked hard to restore many buildings in Zhaojue Temple, and the magnificent and solemn buildings attracted the attention of the world. At present, Chengdu Zhaojue Temple has become a national key Buddhist activity venue and is known as the "No. 1 Zen Forest in Western Sichuan".

In the more than 50 years of preaching the Dharma, Master Qingding has saved countless people to convert to Buddhism . The Sichuan Buddhism he led is famous all over the world. In August 1989, he was invited to spread the Dharma in Europe and the United States and promote the exchange of Buddhist culture in various countries. Because he was highly respected and famous in the Buddhist community, he was invited as a Karma Acharya.

Master Qingding practices noble precepts throughout his life, practices the Dharma day and night, and only rests for a few hours a day, and is still full of energy and energetic. After becoming a monk for more than 50 years, the master has held many positions in the Buddhist world, driving the development of Sichuan Buddhism and committed to charity and public welfare. He is one of the most prestigious monks in my country and is a model for practitioners to learn from.

1999, Master Qing Ding suffered from his long-term dedication to his Buddhist cause, which led to discomfort. Soon, he passed away peacefully in the Buddha's name at the age of 96. Master Qing Ding worked hard and made great contributions throughout his life, and was patriotic and loving the country and religion. He was a senior student of Bashu Buddhism.
