And Buddhist Zen can use cleansing to wipe away this complicated world. Because Buddha has lofty understanding and wisdom. The Buddhist teaching that the four elements are empty does not deny reality, because everything is changing. This means that everything is empty. Because life is full of too much helplessness, the theory of "reincarnation" gives people spiritual sustenance. It is believed that "good will be rewarded with good, evil will be rewarded with evil, and the net of heaven will not leak out." The "afterlife" is just an unattainable dream. I have never heard of anyone enjoying it. Although it cannot give people real comfort, people with fragile hearts still need to rely on these vain dreams to support them through the long road of life. In other words, people's hearts need comfort and they need to live a more romantic life.
"Previous and present lives are beautiful, beautiful reincarnations, you are the water flowing, I am the flying clouds", these are a few lyrics of the popular song "Flying in the Clouds". This is a Zen-like romantic song.
Buddhists believe that practice is all about resolving worries about life and death, and attaches great importance to the liberation of life and death. This is not because practitioners are afraid of life and death, but because they hope to see the reality of life clearly in the face of life and death, so as to cherish life and dignify life. A monk Huanzhu said this: "Practice Zen only to understand life and death, and recite Buddha's name only to understand death and life."
There is a Zen poem: "I look for spring all day long but can't see it. My pawn shoes break through the clouds on the mountaintop. When I come back, I encounter plum blossoms and smell them. Buddhist language is also a language of love, so modern young people still like to use Buddhist language such as "reincarnation", "Forgotten River", "Naihe Bridge", "past and present life" to express their loyalty to love.
