Located in a remote place with a quiet environment and surrounded by mountains, Daoyuan Temple is a female temple (nuns temple). Doyuan Temple, far away from the world, is perfect for quiet practice!
This temple was established in the autumn of 2001. The rules and regulations here are very strict. There is no merit box (no money is allowed) and no incense money is collected! The nuns here only sleep four hours a day (get up at 2 a.m. and go to bed at 10 p.m.) and eat only one meal a day, not after lunch. It is not easy for ordinary people to give up their cravings. You can imagine that it is not easy to only eat one meal all year round! I meditate for more than 5 hours a day on weekdays, and carry out activities such as chanting Buddha's name, explaining scriptures and scriptures, and learning precepts in the morning and evening.
After the Mid-Autumn Festival every year, Daoyuan Temple will carry out outdoor hiking activities. The hiking lasts for 15 days, rain or shine. The journey is over 600 kilometers. (Everywhere they go, they stay in the open air, regardless of the weather.) Each nun holds an alms bowl (without money) in his hand. When begging for alms, he only accepts food and does not accept any other property. It can be said that you travel around the world and live indifferently!
They use strict practice to restrain their desires (the desire for money and food), allowing themselves to let go of love and hate, and reach the highest state of normality!
