When Tang Monk thought he could finally obtain the true scripture, he was teased by Ananda, Kasyapa , his disciples. When the master and disciples learned the truth, they went to Tathagata angrily for comment. The Tathagata defends Ananda and Kasyapa. Why is this?

Seeing the Buddha after his success

The spiritual mountain was bathed in the Buddha's light. The master and the disciples finally arrived at Daleiyin Temple. Tang Monk met Tathagata. After the two were polite, Tathagata called his two closest disciples, Ananda and Kasyapa, to take Tang Monk and his party to the library to get the scriptures.

As the hosts, Ananda and Kasyapa put on airs at this time. The two of them opened their mouths without mercy and asked Tang Seng, his master and his disciples, for their personnel.

Master Tang Seng and his disciples held their foreheads and asked depressedly, is this really Lingshan Mountain? Why don’t the monks here look sober and arrogantly asking people for money? Do all Buddhist scriptures cost money? Wouldn’t it be impossible for them to get it if their sleeves were empty?

The master and the disciples walked all the way to Tianzhu. What kind of punishment they suffered, it was okay if they couldn't fly in the clouds. When conditions are good, you can even make alms. When conditions are bad, you have to go hungry. Or rely on Wukong to pick wild fruits to satisfy his hunger.

The journey is already so difficult. How can the master and apprentice get the money? Even if Zhu Bajie has his own small treasury, it will not be much money. I'm afraid only Tang Monk's cassock is worth some money.

The honest Tang Seng immediately said that he had no money and wanted to ask the two venerables for a convenience. But the two sages said, " If we are like you and want to get the scriptures with nothing, future generations will starve to death."

Although this statement makes some sense, it is indeed incredible to say it from the mouth of a Western venerable. Where is Lingshan? It is the monastery of Buddha. So what is Buddha? The enlightened person in the mortal world is called Buddha.

Although there is no such thing as a free lunch, would you still care about money after you have attained enlightenment and become a Buddha? Doesn’t the inheritance of Buddhism need eminent monks like Tang Seng to help them realize it? Why are you putting on airs instead?

Wukong was immediately unhappy upon hearing this. He said that he could not bear the grievance and would go to the Tathagata to complain. The two venerables then gave up and each selected a few volumes of wordless scriptures to give to Tang Monk and his disciples.

After the master and the disciples left carrying the scriptures, Ananda and Kasyapa continued to laugh at them behind their backs and called them "fools." Don't take Tang Seng and the others seriously at all. And the reason behind this comes from Dongtu.

The Tathagata Buddha said, " The eastern land is high and the sky is high, and the things are vast and the people are densely populated, but it is greedy, murderous, deceitful and deceitful. If you don't follow Buddhism and don't pursue good deeds, you will be in the fire of hell and fall into the netherworld forever."

The description in the original work is even more unpleasant. In the eyes of Tathagata, the Eastern Land is a hell on earth, and people are all demons and monsters. They need to be purified by Buddhism before they can be called "human beings". But the Eastern Land is so vast that there are more than tens of thousands of living beings.

Buddhism once collapsed in the Central Plains. The prestige that countless eminent monks have worked hard to build over hundreds of years has disappeared. Emperor Wu of the Northern Zhou Dynasty 's action to exterminate Buddhism caused Buddhism to suffer heavy losses in the Central Plains. After

, and of the Sui Dynasty began to restore Buddhism. Therefore, in the eyes of the Buddha, the people of the Central Plains are somewhat disrespectful of Buddhism. This is what Tathagata Buddha warned Tang Monk.

Wu Chengen has his own understanding of Buddhism, Xuanzang. The Buddhism in his books is down to earth. It can be seen from the eighty-one difficulties that Tang Monk experienced. Buddha also had his own little temper.

Buddha knew that the true scriptures should not be passed down lightly, and such easily obtained things are never cherished by people. He also knows that most people in the world are vulgar and value money, so most people disdain cheap or free things.

Ananda, Kasyapa was like Monk Tang asking for money, it was more like asking for a promise. Buddhist scriptures have been circulated for thousands of years, which is the result of the efforts of countless monks traveling across mountains and rivers. It is the best gift that Buddha left to this world.

Tathagata told Monk Tang and his disciples that the Sutra should not be passed down lightly, nor should it be taken in vain. He told the story of a time when a monk and a holy monk came down from the mountain to chant sutras and pray for people, but they only got three measures of rice and three liters of gold. Tathagata went on to say that the scriptures were sold at a low price, teaching that people's descendants would have no money to enjoy .

Most people in the world are ignorant, and Buddhism has a difficult road to spread to the world. Now that Tang Monk and his disciples came to pick it up empty-handed, it was already good to get the wordless scripture.

What is the wordless sutra? According to legend, the Buddha was giving a lecture in Lingshan Mountain, holding a flower and smiling, and Kasyapa understood it clearly. Hence the wordless sutra. There are ever-changing texts in the world, but they cannot contain the profound meaning of Buddhism. The essence of wordless scripture lies in thought.

Only when a person understands the true meaning of life in this mortal world can he truly live. Buddhist thought is broad and profound. All the scriptures passed down contain the supreme wisdom of life.

Buddhism advocates your own enlightenment , which is far more important than others preaching the scriptures. Tathagata Buddha also practiced in the mortal world for many years, experienced many hardships, and finally became enlightened and achieved perfection.

At the request of Tang Monk, Tathagata Buddha passed down the true sutra to Tang Monk. But in his opinion, the wordless scriptures are far more precious than the written scriptures.

But when people look at the Buddhist scriptures with words, they are still confused , let alone the true scriptures without words. If you can transcend the mortal world without relying on anything, then everyone can become a god or a Buddha.

A wise man once asked the Buddha: There are so many Buddhist scriptures, which one should I read? Buddha replied with a smile: I only have one sutra. means that whichever book you read, the thoughts in that book will infect you.

Buddhist thought does not require people to read all the scriptures, but to obtain salvation in one scripture. But why should a book that saves all sentient beings have a hidden price tag?

In people's opinion, behind Ananda and Kasyapa's request for bribes was Buddhist selfishness. Ananda and Kasyapa written by Wu Chengen are no different from all living beings in the world. They also have seven emotions and six desires, and they also have the faces of mortals.

Tathagata acquiesced to Ananda, and what Kassapa did was to tell Tang Monk that the true meaning of Buddhism is priceless. But priceless things are often not cherished by people, so it takes money to get things that make people value them.

"Journey to the West" written by Wu Chengen has a realistic color, and the author's era was chaotic . The fate of Tang Monk and his disciples is the same as that of and in the Ming Dynasty.

But Tang Monk finally obtained the true scripture, but the Ming Dynasty did not end like what Wu Chengen wrote in his book. After going through ups and downs, it turned into a clear and magnanimous dynasty.

In this unique book, the Buddha is not the Buddha at this time, but the only truth, goodness and beauty left in human nature. These things, of course, come with a price tag.

Everything that is superior to all living beings is what we call gods. Gods can destroy the world with a wave of their hands, but they only watch you silently. The true meaning of any thought is priceless.
