Samsung ’s One UI 5.0 update based on Android 13 has been fully pushed, and most of the phones it supports are already running the latest Android version. Samsung is ending the rollout of the Android 13 update. While the launch went smoothly, several Fitbit Charge 5 and Fitbit Luxe users reported syncing issues after the One UI 5.0 upgrade.

According to multiple user reports, the syncing process of Fitbit Charge 5 and Fitbit Luxe suddenly stops on Samsung Galaxy devices, specifically Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold phones running One UI 5.0. Other devices complete the operation successfully, but the Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold series phones are having issues after upgrading to the One UI 5.0 update.

Fortunately, Fitbit officially acknowledged the issue after multiple users raised the issue. A Fitbit moderator said they are working on a fix that will be released in early 2023. The moderator said, "Our team has determined the root cause of the bug and we are working on a fix, which is expected to be released through an app update in early 2023."

The Fitbit moderator proposed a solution. In the meantime, users can use a different phone that supports the Fitbit app and try to sync a Fitbit Charge 5 or Fitbit Luxe watch. While users still having issues will have to wait for a 2023 app update, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 update version F711BXXU3DVL9/F711BOXM3DVL9/F711BXXXU3DVL9 released on December 23 appears to have resolved the issue for some users.

Conventional solutions such as resetting the device, clearing the app cache, and reinstalling the app did not help users solve the problem.
