Many netizens often use Baidu Netdisk , but it has more and more restrictions on use, such as speed limit, and has been criticized by many netizens. Recently, Baidu Netdisk launched a new product called "Baidu Netdisk Youth Edition", which provides 10GB of free storage space and undifferentiated upload and download services. 1. The two versions are independent of each other.
We first download and install "Baidu Netdisk Youth Edition" through the mobile app store or official link. After the installation is completed, you can find that this version of the client can coexist with the previous ordinary version of Baidu Netdisk client. Just click on its icon and follow the prompts to log in, and the youth version client will detect whether the regular version client is installed in the phone. If a regular version of the client is found, its login interface will display a "one-click login" button. At this time, a Baidu Netdisk login account authorization prompt will appear. Click the "Confirm Login" button to call the normal version of the login information to log in (Figure 1). From this we can also see that the Youth Edition and the Regular Edition are two completely different network disk products.
2. Import data into the Youth Edition
When we enter the Youth Edition operation interface, you can see a "one-click import" prompt button at the top of the interface, through which you can import files from the regular version into the Youth Edition. After clicking it, click the "Select Import File" button in the pop-up page, and then we can see all the file information in the normal version (Figure 2). Click the selection box behind the file name or folder name, and then click the "Import" button below. After confirmation, you can start the import operation (Figure 3). However, since there are many users being imported now, the import may fail, so just try a few more times when encountering this situation.
Tips: If the user deletes the "one-click import" prompt message and needs to continue importing, he only needs to click the avatar icon in the upper left corner. Select the "Network Disk Import" command in the pop-up menu, and you can perform the import operation in the pop-up window.
What I need to remind everyone here is that the default storage space of the Youth Edition is only 10GB. In other words, if the size of the imported file selected by the user exceeds 10GB, the file import operation will not be completed. In addition, the youth version only provides users with three import opportunities. Therefore, users must think carefully about which files they commonly use, and do not waste any opportunity to import them. If you still want to import to the Youth Edition after three import opportunities, you can only download the file from the regular edition to the local computer, and then upload it from the local computer to the Youth Edition.
3. The transmission speed is greatly improved
In addition to importing data from the standard version, we can also import and upload pictures, videos, and documents from the mobile phone to the youth version by clicking the plus button in the upper right corner of the interface. As long as the total size of the files imported by the user does not exceed 10GB, the user can upload them at will. And by transmitting the data in the list, you can see that the upload speed of and is generally maintained at about 3M per second.
In addition, when we long press a file in the Youth Edition, we can copy, rename, move, download and other related operations. But I also found a problem during the test. Although Baidu is known as "Youth Edition has no speed limit", my download speed here is about 2M per second, but it is very fast compared to the ordinary version (Figure 4).
4. Summary Although the New Year version of
has lifted the speed limit, it has made deletions in functions, such as offline downloading, file sharing and other operations. What's even more depressing is that there is currently no corresponding computer client or web version, which makes it difficult to transfer files between users' mobile phones and computers.
