NavInfo stated that it has carried out business cooperation with Beijing Baidu Netcom Technology Co., Ltd. and Baidu Online Network Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. in the field of electronic map data since 2009, and further reached a "cooperation agreement" in 2013. After the agreement expired on December 31, 2016, the two parties did not renew the contract.
NavInfo said that after the termination of the "Cooperation Agreement", Beijing Baidu Netcom Technology Co., Ltd., Baidu Online Network Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and their affiliates, Baidu Cloud Computing Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd., still continue to use NavInfo The provided electronic maps provide electronic map products to the public through computer terminals, mobile phone terminals, etc., and provide electronic maps on vehicle-related applications beyond the scope of the original contract.
For this reason, NavInfo filed a lawsuit with the Beijing Intellectual Property Court, requesting the three defendants to jointly bear the legal responsibility of stopping the infringement, eliminating the impact and compensating for losses.
