It is reported that car navigation will be a key area of strategic cooperation between the two parties. Audi and Alibaba subsidiary AutoNavi Maps began to cooperate in 2006 to provide Audi customers with AutoNavi map data services. Now, the two parties further deepen their cooperation: AutoNavi will cooperate with Audi for the first time in the fields of navigation software, navigation map data, high-precision data and Audi. Both parties are developing new functions including underground parking lot navigation, lane-level navigation and exclusive navigation for new energy vehicles.
AutoNavi Map will also provide Audi with high-precision maps based on high-level autonomous driving functions, which is expected to be applied to Audi's next-generation models. In addition to navigation, Audi and Alibaba will continue to cooperate in the fields of digital assistant services, in-vehicle payment, cloud services and big data. During the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show (CES Asia), Audi announced that it will connect Alibaba's in-vehicle digital assistant service Tmall Wizard to its self-developed in-vehicle interconnection platform-the next generation of Audi connect interconnect technology.
