Yang Li: The robots before were both mechanical and electronic, so the elements were concentrated in the heavy industry base in the north. However, the new generation of robot industry structure has changed. It needs to integrate more professional fields and more professionals. So after the company went public in 2009, it was discussing where to build this point in the future. At that time, it planned several places. There is a point of view that the robot industry will develop downward. It has a very important element that the regional GDP must be a comparison. High status, it is easier to support industrial innovation. According to this point of view, the Yangtze River Delta is the best choice. We will argue that the core of the Yangtze River Delta is in Shanghai. We also hope that the rapid growth of the regional economy can drive our new round of development, so we chose Pudong.

Siasun Robotics, founded in 2000, is affiliated to the Chinese Academy of Sciences and its headquarter is located in Shenyang. In 2014, with the goal of forming coverage in the southern region of China and overseas markets, Shenyang Sinsong Robot moved south to Shanghai, settled in Pudong Jinqiao, and established an international headquarters, forming a "dual headquarters" with the original headquarters in Shenyang. CBN : You made an active choice, settled in Shanghai and rooted in Pudong. In your opinion, what position does Pudong occupy in the robotics industry in Shanghai and the whole country?

Yang Zi: robots are divided into two steps. The first step is called traditional industrial robots. In the 1950s, China began to introduce industrial robots, and many foreign industrial robot companies settled in Shanghai. The second stage is a new generation of robots. For the new generation of robots, Shanghai, including Pudong, has a very good agglomeration element, which provides a very strong support point for development. From Pudong to the whole country, we think this is a roadmap for a new round of robot development.

First Finance:What is the difference between new generation robot and traditional robot?

Yang Zi: According to our understanding, the robot must be able to interact. Only effective interaction with people can be called a new generation of robots. Early robots were coded in accordance with a program and repeated a program continuously. It was one-way, but during the application process, it was discovered that it could not perceive external changes. An obstacle may appear in front of it, which would be very harmful. , If the obstacle is a human, it will bring a human-machine safety accident. Therefore, we have to keep the traditional industrial robot in a cage, and it completes a single job in the cage day after day. The new generation of robots interact with the scene. They have external perception functions and can effectively cope with them. Then they can coexist with the external environment. This is the beginning of the 2.0 era.

CBN: is still leading in the 2.0 field, right?

Yang Li: is absolutely leading in many aspects. For example, robots are the same as humans. The more joints, the more flexible. Our traditional robots have six joints and six axes, but this is not enough in the actual application process. At this time, we have increased to seven axes. The only stable product lines in the world are China and Europe. In terms of accuracy, our current accuracy is 0.02 mm, which is equivalent to one tenth of a human hair. Some international brands can only reach 0.1 mm. There is also the structure, your structure determines your motivation. These parameters China has absolute advantages.

CBN: Just now you talked about the number of joints, from six joints to seven joints. In our opinion, there is one more joint. Is this difficult?

Yang Zi: The seven-axis is a big breakthrough, because robots speak algorithms, and they control robots through algorithms. After the number of axes breaks through the six axes, its analysis difficulty has a qualitative change, a very big leap. In fact, when we developed a seven-axis robot in Shanghai, the original intention was that it must be anthropomorphic. Humans have good adaptability in a very complex and small environment. When the robot goes to various scenes, its number of axes determines it. Adaptability to the environment. Assuming surgery, it cannot be done below the six axis, and cannot reach this position, then the seven axis is a necessity, or even higher.

Yang Zi: is that every breakthrough we make in research and development is actually a starting point for tomorrow. CBN: But from the perspective of our understanding, there will be a question. We think that the playing robot that can play against people is advanced. The serving robot just serves a ball, which seems not so advanced.

Yang Zi: When the master is playing, he looks at the action, not just watching the ball. Suppose that when we spit out the ball, there is no such action. In fact, you don't know what kind of rotation the ball is in the process of flying, and you are not very comfortable in the process of connecting with it. When a region or a country can stably produce robots on a large scale, it means that its industrial chain has indeed reached a very high level and can demonstrate the comprehensive production capacity of a country from the side. For more than a decade, China has been catching up fast, including processing and production, new material development, and even this part of the operating system has undergone great changes. So you will find that self-branded robots are accepted by users in more scenarios. And as Chinese people understand the pain points of their own applications more directly, you will find that self-branded robots will also be easier to use. Yang Li: In the process of building a strategic highland for intelligent manufacturing at , many scenarios will appear. Each new scenario is a test field for new technologies. We started a robot competition in Shanghai in 2015. When we proposed this concept, we received very effective support from many district leaders. From an environmental perspective, in our industry, a large number of employees are non-Shanghainese.
