On the 25th local time, Indian market regulators announced that imposed a fine of US Internet giant Google of , and asked Google to allow software developers to use third-party payment software.
It is reported that the Indian Competition Commission said in a statement that Google used its "dominant position" to force software developers to use Google's in-app payment system. Selling digital products in-app is the most important way for software developers to make profits, and Google should not restrict software developers from exercising this right. Competition Commission also requires Google to take a total of eight rectification measures in the next three months, with third-party payment being one of them.

It is reported that this is the second time in a week that the Indian Competition Commission has imposed a high fine on Google for the grounds of obstructing competition. On Thursday, local time, the committee announced a fine of US$162 million (about RMB 1.17 billion) to Google, , on the grounds that Google forced users of Android operating systems to use its pre-installed Google programs by signing an exclusive contract with smartphone manufacturers, thereby "illegally" excluding competitors from the market.

Regarding this fine decision, Google said that research is currently underway to evaluate the next steps. By law, Google can appeal to the Indian court to request the overturn of the above decision of the Competition Commission.
