In the field of quantum technology, China is constantly accelerating its forward-looking layout. In 2020, " Quantum Information " was written into the "Proposal of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Formulating the 14th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development and the Long-Term Goals for 2035". Since last year, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Anhui and other places have introduced relevant policies to accelerate the layout of the quantum communication industry.
After the efforts of my country's scientific and technological workers, the world's first quantum science experimental satellite "Mozi" independently developed by my country in 2016. In 2020, it successfully built the quantum computing prototype "Nine Chapters" with 76 photons . In 2021, my country's first manipulated superconducting quantum computer system " Zuchong Zhihao " was launched, achieving a number of major innovative achievements with international influence, and is gradually realizing the role of a chaser to a leader.
China Telecom continues to increase its investment in quantum communication
Quantum communication, as one of the three major fields of quantum technology, has become the direction and mainstream of the development of the communication and information field in the 21st century. As the main force in building a cyber power, a digital China and a smart society in my country, China Telecom actively responded to the national strategic deployment, increased its efforts in scientific and technological innovation, deeply participated in the research on quantum technology, and made a series of layouts.
As early as 2014, China Telecom cooperated with Guodun Quantum, the first innovative enterprise in China engaged in the industrialization of quantum information technology, and jointly participated in the construction of the Shanghai Quantum Communication Industrial Park (Phase I) project Lujiazui Financial Quantum Secret Communication Application Demonstration Network. In 2016, China Telecom and Guodun Quantum signed the strategic cooperation agreement to jointly study and promote the industrialization of quantum confidential communications. In December of the same year, China Telecom's "Quantum Secret Communication Industrialization Base (Laboratory)" was unveiled in Shanghai. In 2020, China Telecom launched the "Quantum Shield Casting Operation" to plan the quantum security industry in advance. In 2021, China Telecom and Guodun Quantum jointly established China Telecom Quantum Technology Co., Ltd. through the implementation and innovation of quantum security and other applications, it will promote quantum communication to serve government affairs, finance, electricity, national defense and other fields.
Quantum communication and security has achieved fruitful results

May 17 this year World Telecom and Information Society Day , China Telecom released the industry's first VoLTE encrypted call product based on quantum information technology - Tianyi Quantum HD Secret Words, providing users with "tube-end-core" integrated security protection.
In August this year, the Hefei Quantum Metropolitan Area Network provided technical support by China Telecom was officially launched. This project is currently the largest, most users and most comprehensive quantum confidential communication metropolitan area network in China. It includes 8 core nodes and 159 access nodes. The total length of the quantum key distribution network fiber is 1,147 kilometers. It can provide quantum secure access services and data transmission encryption services to party and government agencies at the municipal and district levels, and comprehensively improve the level of electronic government security protection.
In addition to quantum metropolitan area network and quantum secret phone, China Telecom has also launched business applications such as quantum secure mobile office and quantum secure gas meters, empowering thousands of industries through quantum security technology to serve the people's livelihood.
