Developers applying to participate in the Apple $3.1 billion App Store class action lawsuit settlement case were told that payments should start as early as October. The apple app developer assistance fund was established as part of Apple's settlement of lawsuits, and the company has also revised the rules of its app store management.
After the settlement was announced in August 2021, Apple announced that it will accept claims starting from January 2022. Developers who believe they are qualified can apply before May 20, 2022.
Apple said in an email to the applicant that the loan work should start by the end of October 2022.
If the developer is headquartered in the United States and has sold an app or in-app purchase on the App Store between June 4, 2015 and April 26, 2021, you are eligible to apply. The second requirement that they must also earn less than or equal to $1 million from the App Store every year between 2015 and 2021. The
letter said that the calculation results have not been finalized, however, the initial estimate was that eligible developers could receive a compensation of $250 to $30,000.
