On September 7, 2022, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce released the "2022 Top 500 Private Enterprises in China" and the "2022 China Private Enterprises 500 Highlights Research and Analysis Report", announcing the current situation of the top 500 private enterprises in my country. It is not that easy to be shortlisted for this list. The threshold for shortlisting is 26.367 billion yuan, which is still the entry threshold. It can be seen how strong those top-ranked private enterprises are.
So, among the top 500 private enterprises in my country, who is the king of revenue? Who is the tax king? Who is the king of R&D?
The King of Revenue: JD
The company that has been ranked as the King of Revenue in previous years was Huawei , but this year he changed the protagonist, and JD came from behind. Data from the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce shows that JD.com ranked first in the top 500 private enterprises in 2022 with revenue of 951.592 billion yuan, followed by Alibaba , with revenue of 836.405 billion yuan, while Huawei fell to fifth place with revenue of 636.807 billion yuan.
JD.com is indeed extraordinary today. It has surpassed its rival Alibaba, which has been catching up with in terms of revenue. Now JD.com has become the private enterprise with the largest number of employees in my country. As of the end of 2021, the number of employees of listed companies and non-listed companies in the JD system exceeded 420,000. However, JD.com's net profit was relatively low, with its net profit attributable to shareholders in the second quarter of 2022 only 4.4 billion yuan, which is a little less than Alibaba's 5.367 billion yuan.
The King of Taxes: Vanke
Huawei has also been ranked first in the top 500 private enterprises in my country, but it has also "given" this year. Vanke is now sitting on this seat.
Vanke is a real estate business and makes money quickly. In 2021, Vanke's revenue reached 452.8 billion yuan and its net profit also reached 22.5 billion yuan. Therefore, Vanke's tax payment amount is also very high, reaching the highest in the country. In the "Top 20 Tax Payments for the Top 500 Private Enterprises in 2021", Vanke's tax payment was 75.401 billion yuan, ranking first in the country, followed by Huawei, with a total of 67.200 billion yuan, and the third place was Country Garden , with a total of 61.77 billion yuan. There is a reason why Vanke pays such a high tax amount, because general enterprises only pay 2 taxes, such as value-added tax and corporate income tax. On this basis, Vanke also pays land value-added tax and so on. Real estate companies have to pay 7 taxes, so as Huawei's revenue declines, Vanke has come from behind in terms of tax payments.
The king of R&D: Huawei
There are not many companies in my country that attach great importance to technological research and development, but companies that are willing to spend huge amounts of money on R&D every year are even rarer. Among them, Huawei's performance is very dazzling.
In the list of "Top5 R&D investments by Chinese private enterprises in 2021", Huawei firmly ranked first among private enterprises in the country with 142.7 billion yuan in R&D funds, and the intensity of R&D funding investment reached 22.41%. Following closely behind is Alibaba, with R&D funding of 57.823 billion yuan. It can be seen that the first place is twice as much as the second place. The third place is Tencent , with R&D funding of 51.88 billion yuan, the fourth place is Baidu , with R&D funding of 24.938 billion yuan, and the fifth place is Geely , with R&D funding of 22.617 billion yuan.
Nowadays, the mobile phone industry is a very dazzling industry in my country, and this industry brings together a lot of technology. Unfortunately, in addition to Huawei, the R&D expenses invested by other domestic mobile phone brands are not that high. Perhaps because the most important technology in my country's mobile phone industry is the reason for the introduction of foreign countries.
Who is the king of private enterprises in my country?
If we look at the segment, then each category has its own king. So, if we look at it comprehensively, who is the king of private enterprises? My point here is that only Huawei qualifies for this title.
First of all, Huawei is ranked fifth in the revenue list, and its ranking is already very high. Then in the tax list, Huawei ranked second, once the first place, and in the R&D list, Huawei has been ranked first for many years. Overall, no matter which category it is, Huawei is either ranked first or in the top few, so there is reason to think that Huawei is the king of private enterprises in my country.
Huawei is now like a benchmark, because it is a technology company. It allows many domestic companies to know that if you dare to spend money on research and development, you can achieve good results. If you master core technology, you will not be easily defeated. Even if you face many storms, you can earn a lot of money by relying on core technology to overcome difficulties.
In fact, if Huawei has not encountered any unexpected events in recent years, Huawei may not be the world's number one in the mobile phone industry. In the tax payment list and revenue list, Huawei is also likely to be ranked first and become the champion of the three lists.
