We had a pretty rough weekend after Jerome Powell's Jackson Hole talk. The market decided to take risks and we saw Bitcoin drop below $20,000 and ETH to around $1,400. We saw a little bit of a rebound today. The most interesting thing happening in the crypto market recently is the NFT project DigiDaigaku, which saw its base price explode from ~3ETH to ~12ETH. Catalysts include this Friday’s $200 million funding round and airdrop. There have also been some dramatic and problematic reports about Mt.Gox and Ava Labs.
⛓ Crypto News:
- MtGox will not be distributing any tokens this week, next week or the week after that. Its currency withdrawal system has not yet been launched. For now, users can’t even transfer BTC and BCH.
- A website calling itself the “whistleblower” has sparked heated discussion in crypto circles by accusing Ava Labs of paying lawyers to hurt competitors and get regulators involved. Ava Labs responded to the accusation, calling it "conspiracy theory nonsense," and the whistleblower response called it false statements from unknown sources and illegally obtained, highly edited video clips that did not provide accurate contextual context for the conversation. .
