Speaking of China Radio and Television, we are actually not unfamiliar with it. It provides cable TV services. However, later, as China Mobile, Telecom and China Unicom successively provided similar services, coupled with the rapid rise of small videos, cable TV gradually moved towards decline.
However, China Radio and Television's joining the ranks of telecom operators this time has attracted a certain amount of attention, because there is no doubt that this will intensify the competition in the telecom market, which will ultimately be beneficial to users.
After three years of hard work, China Radio and Television finally officially announced its network package. It can be said that when this package was announced, China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom could no longer sit still.

Because since China Radio and Television joined the ranks of operators, what we have seen is about the construction progress of its 5G network. The word 4G has almost never appeared.
In terms of specific package tariff settings, the 4G packages are 38 yuan for 10GB traffic plus 50 minutes of calls, 58 yuan for 20GB traffic plus 100 minutes of calls, and 68 yuan for 20GB traffic plus 200 minutes of calls. The lowest
5G package is 118 yuan for 40GB traffic plus 200 minutes of calls, and the highest level is 588 yuan for 398GB of traffic plus 1,600 minutes of calls.
It can be seen that such a package setting will undoubtedly have an impact on China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom.
First of all, it is on 4G packages. Since China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom have actively developed 5G in recent years, they have continuously upgraded previous customers to 5G packages, and at the same time, they have continued to cancel previous low-priced 4G packages.

We can make a simple comparison. For example, take the 60GB package as an example. Through query, China Mobile's package price is 269 yuan, and the price of Radio and Television is 158 yuan. The difference between the two is 111 yuan, which is 1,332 yuan a year.
The official website of China Mobile shows that the annual tariff for a 300M broadband is only 480 yuan. If a home user needs to use two cards, the annual tariff gap doubles to 2,664 yuan.
So even if the packages of the three major operators including China Mobile include broadband services, the packages of Radio and Television are still more cost-effective.
Therefore, radio and television will also have an impact on mobile and other 5G packages.
So why, as a new telecom operator, can Radio and Television achieve such low prices? This is mainly related to the frequency band used.
Radio and Television obtained the 700MHz golden frequency band, which is lower than the 900MHz frequency band used by 2G networks.
A lower frequency band means wider coverage, so there is much less need for proficient base stations. Generally speaking, radio and television can build a nationwide 5G network and only need 10% of the base stations required by mobile and other operators.
uses less base stations, and the cost of building base stations is also reduced. The huge cost advantage can be reflected in the setting of package rates.
