2022 Nobel Prize in Chemistry winners: Carolyn R. Bertozzi, Morten Meldal and K. Barry Sharpless
Beijing time on the afternoon of October 5, Beijing time, in the capital of Sweden , the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, announced that the 2022 Nobel Prize in Chemistry will be awarded to American chemist Carolyn R (Carolyn R). Bertozzi) , Danish chemist Morten Meldal and American chemist Carl Barry Sharpless in recognition of their contributions in the research of click chemistry and orthogonal chemistry .
Among them, Professor Carolyn R. Bertozzi of Stanford University , who just won the Wolf Prize for his pioneering research in bioorthogonal chemistry, glycocalyx and its role in health and disease, thus achieving bioimaging, chemistry proteomics and drug delivery in vivo.

Barry Sharpless won the 2001 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his achievements in the field of chiral catalytic oxidation research. has developed a new synthetic concept "click chemistry" in recent years. is also widely used in drug development and molecular biology in many research fields of , and has become one of the most useful and attractive synthesis methods at present.
2022 Nobel Prize prizes for each prize are 10 million Swedish kroner (approximately 6.42 million yuan).
Previously, the Nobel Prize in Chemistry has been awarded 113 times. During the period, it was not issued for 8 years, namely 1916, 1917, 1919, 1924, 1933, 1940, 1941 and 1942.
Since 1901-2021, the Nobel Prize in Chemistry has been awarded to 188 winners, of which Frederick Sanger is the only one to win the Nobel Prize in Chemistry twice, in 1958 and 1980 respectively.
