The case applied by our hospital "Construction and Application of One-stop Prenatal Diagnosis Center" stood out from 209 cases across the country and was finally selected as a typical case of institutional innovation and comprehensive services.
One-stop prenatal diagnosis center refers to the one-stop work service connotation of prenatal screening and prenatal diagnosis. It is not only a one-stop service for regional location, but also a one-stop service for multiple disciplines such as obstetrics, ultrasound, genetics, and laboratories. It is an efficient operation model that solves discipline collaboration, transfer consultation process, and maternal management.
Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University As the transfer consultation center for three population districts in Beijing, Chaoyang District, Tongzhou District, , and Shunyi District, , it undertakes the prenatal screening and diagnosis of pregnant women with more than 6 million people in Beijing. With the gradual adjustment of the national birth policy, the implementation of the comprehensive second-child and third-child policies, the proportion of high-risk pregnant women such as elderly pregnant women has increased, the demand for prenatal diagnosis has increased, and the work pressure of prenatal diagnosis centers has increased sharply. In order to effectively improve the quality of prenatal diagnosis work in the hospital, optimize the prenatal diagnosis transfer consultation process and the experience of pregnant women, the hospital prospectively carried out the preparation and construction of the outpatient clinic and laboratory of the one-stop prenatal diagnosis center in 2017, and the one-stop prenatal diagnosis center officially opened in June 2017. After the establishment of the one-stop prenatal diagnosis center, the management of prenatal screening institutions in the jurisdiction was strengthened, and the transfer consultation process for pregnant women was gradually sorted out, and one-stop service for institutions and pregnant women was truly realized. In 2019, the number of prenatal diagnosis surgeries exceeded 6,000, breaking through the historical extreme value.
During the COVID-19 epidemic, in order to ensure the prenatal screening and diagnosis needs of pregnant women in the blocked area and reduce the flow of people, the Prenatal Diagnosis Center vigorously promoted institutional cooperation and established a non-invasive prenatal screening and diagnosis cooperative relationship with Chaoyang District, Tongzhou District, Shunyi District and Huairou District Maternal and Child Health Hospital . There are 22 contracted institutions. Pregnant women choose their own file to conduct non-invasive prenatal screening and blood collection at the nearby midwifery institution. The laboratory of the Prenatal Diagnosis Center will complete the test and issue a report. Since 2018, the prenatal diagnosis center has completed more than 120,000 non-invasive prenatal screening, and more than 400 fetal chromosomal abnormalities were detected through non-invasive prenatal screening.
