Two months ago, Xiaofang (pseudonym), a 19-year-old girl from Zhangjiajie, discovered a soybean-sized lump on the right side of her neck while taking a shower. A month later, she found that the lump on her neck not only did not disappear, but also became red, swollen and painful, and she also developed symptoms of low-grade fever. It is called " scrofula " in traditional Chinese medicine and "chestnut neck" among the people. It often occurs after physical and mental fatigue and reduced resistance. Onset, tuberculosis bacteria mostly invade through tonsils and blood, and there are some secondary tuberculosis lesions in the lungs or bronchus.
Liu Yang reminded that the surface characteristics of lymph node nuclei are very similar to the symptoms of lymph node enlargement caused by tumors. They can both show multiple swollen lymph nodes of varying sizes on one or both sides of the neck, which can easily be misdiagnosed. Everyone must pay attention. If you find a painless lump on the body surface, especially in the neck, it is recommended to go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible. Early detection and early treatment are required.
