Where does anxiety come from?
Let’s first look at how emotions arise?
American psychologist Ellis has a famous "ABC theory". The event that occurs is represented by A. In the past, we would think it was this thing or the person's words and deeds A, which gave us emotions or behaviors, which means that the result is C. But in fact, one of the most important links is what kind of beliefs we use when we experience this event A, and beliefs are represented by B. That is to say, for the same event A, if we have different beliefs, or standard B1\B2\B3, etc., we will get different results C1\C2\C3.
The theory shows that events are not the reason why they directly bring emotions, but our judgment of events, our cognitive system, commonly known as the three views: world outlook, outlook on life, and values.
knows that emotions come from cognition, so which cognition does anxiety come from?
Two common problems of modern people are the verbal "I am depressed, I am anxious." Let’s take a look and feel depression happens in my mind about the past. Anxiety occurs in worries and fears about the future.
In other words, a person always recalls the past and cannot let go of what happened in the past and constantly feels guilty and blames himself, and is prone to depression. Most depressed people are kind-hearted and smart, and are willing to look for the reason in the event of something. But he doesn't let himself go and denies himself excessively.
Anxiety means that you always think about things that have not happened yet, and you are panicked and nervous about the uncertainty of the future. And worry that you will not be able to deal with the future situation well. At this time, a huge sense of anxiety will arise.
Take the epidemic in recent years as an example. Many industries are in a downturn, with bankruptcy, unemployment and debt everywhere, which is a sense of anxiety among the whole people.
So how to deal with anxiety?
We must know how to live in the present.
Mindfulness , everyone has heard these two words. Let’s break down these two words. What does mindfulness mean? Just like the horizontal line above, the stop at the bottom, and the pronunciation is the present day above, and the word "heart" below. The overall meaning is to stop at one place and the mind is in the present.
No matter how you worry about the future and plan for the future, the future will never skip the present and the moment. In other words, tomorrow, next month, and three years later you have to pass by minute by minute. If you do not live well in the present in this minute and are always anxious, then you will not only not help the future, but also miss the present.
In fact, people's lives are only at this moment, and they can never escape from this moment. There is no more when it is gone, and the future has not yet arrived. If we miss this moment again, life will really achieve nothing.
Anxiety is also a signal, which is to urge us to act. When we take action, you will find that the anxiety will be reduced. Because you know you are acting for your future. But some friends know what to do, but they cannot act. They just have serious procrastination and blame themselves, but they have no choice. I will explain the content about procrastination to you in future courses.
Now I will give you a few ways to deal with anxiety:
1, stay aware. When you feel anxious, be aware of yourself and know that you are anxious.
Anxiety comes from negative beliefs about the future. We must learn to change our minds and find positive factors.
The future things will be solved by yourself.
2. Deep breathing and relaxing (strongly recommended)

enhanced version: When inhaling, I feel like I inhaling white light, filling my whole body with strength; when exhaling, it seems that I will spit out the garbage,
toxins, tension, anxiety, etc. in my body as if I vomit black substances.
3, in traditional culture,
learn classics such as "The Four Lessons of the World", " Yijing ", "The Analects of Confucius", "Tao Te Ching", " Diamond Sutra ", etc.
"安文 " does good deeds;
"The Book of Changes" does things according to the rules;

4. Looking for professionals and institutions to help

Finally, the one that resolves anxiety must be action, but what is the reason for being unable to act? Leave a homework for everyone, which is to ask yourself, "What is my life mission?" Do this homework carefully, and when we share the changes, procrastination and time management, it is the most important link.
