In this world, there is really no fairness at all. Some people are treated extremely harshly by God, but some people are favored by God. George Wells was the latter, because he was probably the toughest man in the world.

He experienced wars, plagues, nuclear bombs , earthquakes, nuclear leaks, riots, and building collapses in his life, but he successfully escaped them all and did not leave this world in his sleep until 2002.
Wells was born on July 14, 1914, and lived in the Alsace region of France. The family lives a well-off life, and his father is the owner of a dental clinic.
Unexpectedly, two weeks after Wells was born, World War I broke out.

At that time, the enemy's shells directly tore apart Wells's father's clinic: his mother was killed on the spot, but his father who was bathing him accidentally saved his life and escaped with his life.
Wells can't even remember his mother's appearance, but this does not affect his growth. However, disaster was a sign of that era, and he was destined to experience "tribulation" again and again.

In 1918, there was a great influenza outbreak in Europe. At that time, people called it the "Spanish Flu". This is a historical issue, and we don't dwell too much on its name.
In short, the whole of Europe was enveloped by the plague, and Wells and his father were no exception. However, no one expected that he and his father would escape this disaster again.
You must know that at that time, the plague killed 25 million to 40 million people around the world. Children as young as Wells were almost waiting to die after being infected. And he survived without any consequences.

In 1929, Wells was 15 years old. At this time, his father already had a wife, and their family of three embarked on a warm sea voyage.
At that time, the Wells family took the Olympic ferry, yes, it was the "twin sister" of the Titanic .
On November 18, the cruise ship was sailing to the place where the Titanic sank, and it suddenly shook during the voyage. The captain was so frightened that he asked everyone to put on life jackets in advance.
In the face of death, no one is left behind. As a result, Wells and his parents did not grab the life jacket. The three people stayed where they were, with mixed feelings in their hearts because they all believed that this time they were doomed.
But soon, the cruise ship returned to normal. Later, people learned that the shaking of the cruise ship was caused by the eruption of an undersea volcano. Is it irritating? Is it thrilling?

Later, the Wells family moved to Berlin, where his father still opened a clinic, while he went to school and studied, and lived a very comfortable life for a time.
November 9, 1938, a day that Wells will never forget in his life. During the " Kristallnacht " campaign, his Jewish stepmother implicated him and his father, and several of them were imprisoned in concentration camps.
Those who can survive in the concentration camp and survive in the end are the absolute chosen ones. Wells and his father were released in 1940, and his stepmother was never heard from again. My father's body was also completely destroyed and he passed away not long after.

26-year-old Wells joined the army and entered India with the British army. Unexpectedly, during the confrontation with Japan, he became a prisoner.
Because he could speak Japanese, Wells was retained by the Japanese army and taken to Japan in 1944, where he was assigned to work as a fake news promoter at Tokyo Rose Radio.
In 1945, the Japanese military radio station was bombed by the Allied forces. Wells had a near miss and was transferred to Saitama Prefecture . But just four days after arriving there, the "little boy" naughtily blew up the street. Wells survived again, though.

After being rescued, Wells returned to England and returned to India in 1950 to search for memories. Local friends immediately invited him to go skiing. He happened to have a cold at the time and declined the invitation.
Friends and others set out that night, but it turned out that that day was August 15, which was the day of the 8.6-magnitude earthquake in Medog. Wells's friend never came back, which frightened him so much that he hurriedly left India and never wanted to set foot on Indian soil again.
But this does not seem to mean safety. After returning to China, Wells became a car dealer, and set up his home not far from the "Santa Susana" field laboratory in California, USA.

In 1959, Wells went to Detroit on a business trip and stayed there for a long time, and a nuclear leak happened at the Santa Susana Laboratory. The situation was actually very serious at that time, but the United States suppressed the news, which caused many local people to suffer from strange diseases.
It was not until 60 years later that people knew the cause of this problem, but Wells escaped the risk of radiation from the nuclear leak because he lived in Detroit at that time.
Wells, who lived in Detroit, also received the attention of death. In 1967, he lived in a Detroit hotel. On July 25, the Detroit riot broke out.

The riot lasted for five days, and the hotel where Wells stayed was also breached. He hid in the ventilation duct and had another brush with death.
10 years later, Wells was 63 years old. He took flight PA1736 from the United States to Gran Canaria . Unexpectedly, when the plane arrived at the Las Palmas International Airport in Spain, it collided with the Dutch flight KL4805.

This is the famous Canary air crash in history. A total of 583 people were killed in the two planes at that time, and only 61 people survived, and Wells was among these survivors.
Wells experienced nine deaths and reached the age of 80 with a family full of children and grandchildren. But he still did not stop and enjoyed his old age at home.

In June 1995, Wells traveled to South Korea with his family. When the family arrived at the Sampoong Department Store in South Korea for shopping, the building collapsed, killing 502 people on the spot.
But Wells was still fine, because he had a dispute with his son at that time, stopped in front of the building, and took a taxi back to the hotel.
Such a determined man is truly unique in the world! Even Wells himself had to admit: God has never forgotten his favor.
On the last day of May 2002, Wells celebrated his 108th birthday in one and a half months. That night, he passed away peacefully in his sleep.
has experienced wars, plagues, nuclear bombs, earthquakes, nuclear leaks, riots, building collapses and various disasters in his life, but he still survived and finally lived a super-senior life of more than 100 years old. Is this the toughest person in the world?
