This is the first test project in the country to directly supply aluminum smelting and production of photovoltaic DC power to date, marking a major breakthrough in photovoltaic power generation DC connection to electrolytic aluminum production, and will provide experience and demonstration for domestic green electricity conversion and new power systems.
Most electrolytic aluminum enterprises in my country use large power grids to supply power to electrolytic cells, and the power conversion process is numerous and complex, and the power loss is serious. Previously, Yun Aluminum Co., Ltd. and Yunnan International and other professional units continued to carry out green energy project cooperation, and discussed the implementation path of the DC busbar of the photovoltaic DC direct supply cloud aluminum electrolytic production line many times. After repeated tests and verification, many scientific research problems such as unstable photovoltaic power generation efficiency and inability to ensure that the DC current constant current output is connected to the DC busbar of the cloud aluminum electrolytic production line are successfully overcome and solved.
According to the plan, the green smart energy project of Yunaoyang Zonghai Green Aluminum Industrial Park can utilize the roof area of the industrial park with a total installed capacity of 37.85 megawatts. After the second phase of the project is completed, the installed capacity of photovoltaic green power in the park will reach 51.6 megawatts, providing about 63.98 million kilowatt-hours of green clean electricity every year, saving 19,500 tons of standard coal per year, reducing emissions of 258,200 tons of carbon dioxide per year, and reducing emissions of 17.25 tons of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide and smoke.
