I remember when I arrived in Jincheng in 2008, South Street was quite crowded and dilapidated. Although there were many shops, there were no more customers and not many customers were there. Most young people chose to go shopping at the People's Square Pedestrian Street in front. They rarely stopped here again, and only a few old customers were there.
In September 2022, after leaving Jincheng 11 years ago, I returned here again after 11 years, and came to South Street. South Street, which has a new look, began to rectify the old buildings on the premise of maintaining the ancient buildings to the greatest extent. The streets paved with bluestone are simple and elegant, and the ancient buildings with blue bricks and gray tiles are returning to nature. History seems to be frozen again. The current South Street here is also the South Street of a century of memory.
