Recently, the US Indo-Pacific Command released a video. In the video content, the US reconnaissance aircraft encountered an interception by the People's Liberation Army J-11 fighter jet while performing a reconnaissance mission in the waters of the South China Sea. Although interceptions are not uncommon, the danger of this interception made the United States break out in a cold sweat. The reason is that the recent encounter between Chinese and American aircraft was only about 6 meters apart, which is undoubtedly an extremely dangerous distance for air flight. This extreme pressure and interception finally forced the US military reconnaissance aircraft to adopt evasive methods and stay away from the South China Sea. Judging from this interception incident alone, the People's Liberation Army's tough handling this time is indeed very relieving. The United States, on the other hand, dismissed the attempt and accused China of adopting unsafe interception methods, but completely ignored the unfairness of its own reconnaissance behavior. It is a typical example of a thief calling himself a thief.

My personal understanding of this incident is that it is China’s most direct response to the recent series of provocations by the United States. In the past few months, the US Biden administration has become more and more aggressive on the issue of China. On industrial economic issues, the United States established an Indo-Pacific economic framework with the intention of replacing China's supply chain; it forced EU countries to decouple from China in an attempt to cut off the close trade ties between China and Europe; it promoted the "Chips Act" to engage in technological bullying against China; it approved the "Inflation Reduction Act" with the intention of revitalizing American manufacturing and competing with China. In terms of international influence, the Biden administration in the United States has frequently attracted developing countries with close economic and trade ties with China over the past year or so, such as Southeast Asian countries, Latin American countries, Middle Eastern countries, and African countries. In terms of geopolitics , the United States has established a quadrilateral security dialogue between the United States, Japan, India, and Australia in order to encircle China. It has also become more and more aggressive on the South China Sea issue and the Taiwan Strait issue. It not only encourages Western politicians to visit Taiwan, China, but also approves arms sales and military assistance to Taiwan.

Based on this background, the People's Liberation Army's strong interception this time is clearly telling the United States that China is not only not afraid of the United States' suppression in the economic and international political fields, but also is not afraid of the various small moves made by the United States in the regional situation. If the United States really wants to incite a conflict in the Taiwan Strait or a conflict in the South China Sea, then the People's Liberation Army will definitely not let the United States become an outsider. Objectively speaking, there is still a huge gap between China's current naval strength and that of the United States. After all, the United States has hundreds of naval bases around the world, as well as 11 aircraft carrier battle groups, which are really no joke. However, in the waters surrounding China, the People's Liberation Army is still capable of wrestling with the United States. After all, the overall strength of the Chinese Navy has grown by leaps and bounds in the past few years, and its missile technology cannot be underestimated. If a fight breaks out in offshore areas, the U.S. military will not be able to get an advantage. It is precisely with this strategic confidence that the People's Liberation Army dares to make such a dangerous interception.

In short, we can only fight if we can fight. Only by letting the United States know how strong China's fist is can the United States truly realize the unstoppable rise of China. Therefore, this fighter plane interception incident is just a profound lesson for the United States and the Biden administration. I hope they will recognize the reality as soon as possible and not regret it until the day they break up.
