This report is 196 pages long, and a large amount of content is a misinterpretation and malicious speculation of China's military activities, intending to exaggerate China as an uneasy factor that "threatened" regional peace and stability, adding footnotes to the malicious hype "China threat theory".
In this report, there are two major contents that are particularly eye-catching: one is to point fingers at the Taiwan issue, and the other is to speculate on China's nuclear power. The report said that the People's Liberation Army will accelerate the integration and development of military power by 2027 and take four major military actions against Taiwan, including sea and air blockade, small-scale force operations, missile air strikes, and landing operations. These descriptions that ignore the facts are intended to create panic, provoke cross-strait confrontation, and induce the Taiwan authorities to act as the "pawn" of the United States to confront the mainland. Another content in the
report is a malicious speculation about China's nuclear power. The US said that China currently has about 400 nuclear warheads. If it develops at the current rate, it will have 1,500 nuclear warheads by 2035. But even 1,500 nuclear warheads have a clear gap with the United States and Russia.
According to American Federation of Scientists data, as of 2022, the United States has maintained 5,428 nuclear warheads, of which 1,744 are in deployment, ranking first in the world. China's current nuclear weapons inventory is less than 7% of that in the United States. Even if it is true as the United States speculates, China has 1,500 nuclear warheads by 2035, it is still less than 30% of the current total of the United States.
The United States has a nuclear warhead that is 15 times that of China, but it still does not forget to point fingers at China. Pentagon Press Secretary Ryder said that the increase in China's nuclear weapons inventory will be a "root of instability" and is worrying. The Pentagon also held a press conference seriously saying that China's nuclear weapon has developed too fast and has deviated from its "precision intimidation" strategy.
The reason why the United States is holding on to nuclear weapons is mainly because of China's nuclear power, which makes them feel deterred. Even though China promised not to take the lead in using nuclear weapons, the guilty United States still felt uneasy. It repeatedly smeared China's nuclear power in public, tried to launch a public opinion offensive, and forced China to cut its nuclear power.
