The current policy of the Japanese government is to purchase a batch of US "Tomahawk" cruise missiles before domestic long-range missiles are mass-produced, so as to test the reactions of Asian countries.
Japan is currently developing a "out-of-zone missile". The missile is improved on the basis of the Type 12 shore-ship missile, with a range of more than 1,000 kilometers and is preparing to deploy such missiles in 2026. In addition, Japan is also developing the " hypersonic weapon " with a speed of sound above 5 times, and according to the plan, the range of the weapon will also reach more than 1,000 kilometers.
Once these missiles are developed and mass-produced, Japan will abandon the US Tomahawk missile and deploy domestic long-range missiles on land, fighter jets and submarines to deal with imaginary enemies.
and this imaginary enemy is China. Japan has been trying to obtain more weapons under the banner of China's threat theory and strengthen the Self-Defense Force's "counterattack ability". The most obvious example is that in May, the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan clearly proposed to develop "counterattack capabilities" in a "strategic" document, and at the same time, it should list the five major war zone commands of the People's Liberation Army and the central decision-making bodies as targets.
This kind of behavior is very arrogant, and once again shows the world the image of a warlike Japanese militia. Once Japan really attacks China, it will only end up sinking. Because Japan does not have the military ability to counterattack China, neither its strategic depth nor resource reserves can be compared with China. It can be said that it cannot afford any consequences of launching a war against China.
Since this is the case, why does Japan still develop its attack capabilities against China? This contains three major ambitions of Japan.
First, Japan is re-taking the path of militarism.

To this end, Japanese right-wing elements began to strengthen the attack capabilities of the Self-Defense Forces and prepare for a war with China in the future.
Secondly, Japan has the idea of getting rid of the United States.
Hull Brands, a professor at Hopskin University in the United States, recently released a study saying that if the United States cannot cope with China, then Japan will get rid of the United States to achieve "self-improvement", which is the so-called "Plan B". In other words, Japan is regaining its military capabilities, trying to get rid of the shackles of the United States and become a truly sovereign power.
On the one hand, Japan has a strong strength and its economic system is a natural lineage, with a population of hundreds of millions, and its military capabilities are not inferior to those of Britain, France and other countries. Its strong capabilities have given Japan the idea of breaking away from American control. On the other hand, Japan has a traditional habit of "fearing power but not fearing virtue". It only obeys the strong and bullies the weak. Once the United States is defeated by China and becomes a "weak", then Japan can take the opportunity to break away from the United States and develop independently.
Third, the stronger the military capability, the more resources you can get.
Japan is an island country with a large population, scarce resources and frequent earthquakes. Its sense of crisis is stronger than any Asian country.For the long-term development of the country, the Japanese government implies that its own capitalists and interest groups have been hoarding land overseas in recent years, and the land hoarding area has exceeded Japan's local area by 378,000 square kilometers. After hoarding land, Japan established factories and developed real estate and other industries on these lands to supplement the domestic economy and solve survival problems. Therefore, these overseas assets have become important protection objects for Japan. Japan's ability to strengthen the Self-Defense Force is to obtain more overseas resources. After all, the stronger the force, the stronger the sense of gain. At the same time, once Japan sinks, the Japanese Self-Defense Force can protect more citizens from fleeing overseas for refuge.

Japan can completely resolve the crisis it faces in a peaceful way. There is no need to find excuses for its illegal activities under the banner of China's threat. Japan has failed once in World War II, so it should be seen that the actual gap with China.
