Yang Dinghao is 22 years old this year and is a standard "post-00s". In May 2019, he, who was studying physical education at school, signed up to join the Chongqing fire rescue team.
The first test for new players joining the team is new training. "At the beginning, I was the worst in the class. My physical strength was relatively weak and I couldn't even carry the water."
Although Yang Dinghao has been practicing sports since high school, physical strength has always been his weakness. "At that time, the new training squad leader practiced for me. He did hundreds of push-ups and hundreds of squats every night, and slowly practiced his weaknesses. In the end, he successfully became a firefighter." What made Yang Dinghao remember particularly deeply was the "first time" after becoming a firefighter.
First fire fighting. Yang Dinghao, who was still a newcomer at the time, went on a fire scene with the old team members. "I remember that the 4th floor of an old residential building caught fire. When we arrived at the scene, we saw that the entire corridor was filled with thick smoke, and the visibility was less than 1 meter." Because it was the first time that the fire alarm was fired, Yang Dinghao was blocked by the captain outside the fire. The task assigned to him was to lay water belt to provide logistics for the old team members. Only after the firefighting work was completed did the captain let Yang Dinghao enter the fire to study.

"In addition to the 10 hours of training scheduled by the training team every day, I also arranged training for myself on weekly rest days, and I did not dare to slacken at all." Yang Dinghao recalled his life in attending the training camp and felt a little emotional.
Because it is the first time to participate in a high-level training camp, the training experience that Yang Dinghao has come into contact with is not a good one. What impressed him the most was the link of the water harness in the "100-meter Fire Obstacle Race".
"Because the water distributors and water strips used in the competition are different from the equipment we train daily, I have to learn from scratch." In order to master the skills of water strips faster, Yang Dinghao began to search for related videos on the Internet to learn.
"There are many videos on the Internet, and everyone's movements are different. As I learn, I learn a lot." No matter how Yang Dinghao practiced, the water distributor and water belt in his hand could not be connected. "I wanted to give up at that time." Fortunately, the coach of the training team paid attention to Xiao Yang's situation in time and corrected and guided his movements. "The distance of each step, the height of the hand, and how to twist the fingers into the interface, the coach will give me a detailed look." In order to correct the movement of the water ties, Yang Dinghao not only trains normally every day, he also takes the water distributor and water ties back to the dormitory for additional training.
