The PLA's military training principle has always emphasized two points: one is to emphasize "the best combination of man and weapon", that is, to enable the PLA soldiers to master and use the weapons and equipment in their hands through training; the other is to emphasize "however fight in the future, the soldiers will be trained."
But what exactly will the future war scene look like? As an ordinary person, it is unimaginable.
Fortunately, the continued Russian-Ukrainian war just made us have a vague understanding of the future battlefield.
Through the Russian-Ukrainian war, people feel that there are two kinds of weapons in the future war, which is essential: one is long-range precision strike weapon, and the other is drone . At the same time, in order to achieve victory on the battlefield in the future, there are two other points that are indispensable: absolute air supremacy and powerful battlefield situational awareness capabilities.
So does the PLA have the abilities mentioned above? Just so happened that the various types of weapons and equipment displayed at the Zhuhai Air Show, as well as the dynamic demonstration of actual soldiers on site, have answered this question.
Who will our enemies in the future? Where is our battlefield? For Chinese people, everyone knows it well. Because until now, Taiwan has not returned, and China has not achieved complete reunification in the true sense. If war breaks out in the future, the battlefield can only be in the Taiwan Strait and surrounding areas and on the Taiwan Island.
This means that we must win the future battle of crossing the sea and landing on the island.
Crossing the sea to land on the island is the most difficult form of war among all wars. According to the data from the World War II crossing the island battle, in order to win the battle from the hailing island battle, the casualties of the attacking side are usually as high as about 60%. Such a high casualty ratio makes countries around the world afraid of winning the battle to cross the sea and land on the island. This is also one of the reasons why we have not used force to attack Taiwan.
For this reason, how to solve the Taiwan issue with the lowest cost is always being prepared since the early 1950s. With the rapid development of our army's weapons and equipment, the military struggle against Taiwan has also gone through three stages: from insufficient confidence to basic possibility, and then to the current full confidence.
Why are we now full of high confidence in the future regaining Taiwan by force? The reasons are as follows (this article will not discuss the tactics of denying foreign military aid to Taiwan in the region, because we already have such capabilities.):
First, the PLA's usual military training level and military quality are far higher than those of the Taiwan army on the other side. There is no need to describe this too much, and I believe no one doubts.
Second, in the comparison of the main combat weapons of the navy, army and air force, the People's Liberation Army's weapons and equipment are far better than the Taiwan Army.
Now the weapons used by the PLA's navy, army and air force are the latest weapons and equipment. Whether it is the Air Force's J10, J16, J20, or the Army's Type 96 and 99 tanks, as well as the Z10 and Z19 armed helicopters, they all completely crush the existing equipment of the Taiwan Army.
As for the navy, let alone the navy. Most of the warships used by the Taiwan Navy are equipped by the US military during World War II, and the PLA's warships are generally around ten years old. Whether in terms of firepower intensity or informationization capabilities, the navy of the Taiwan military is incomparable.

Through the Russian-Ukrainian war, we can find that in order to win modern wars, we must have strong battlefield situation awareness. To put it bluntly, we must have the ability to fully sense the deployment and location of the enemy's troops and weapons.
In the Russian-Ukrainian war, why both sides' tanks and armored vehicles became targets for each other to be hit? This is caused by poor battlefield situation awareness.
If our army is on the battlefield of Russia and Ukraine, the satellite in the sky and the drone, and the early warning aircraft in the air will detect the enemy information from a certain local battlefield as soon as possible, and then transmit it to the ground troops through the data link. The commander of ground troops can quickly make judgments and implement correct commands based on the current situation and location of the enemy and us.
Therefore, the powerful battlefield perception capabilities on the battlefield come from satellites in space, aerial early warning aircraft and unmanned reconnaissance aircraft, and must also have a powerful data link system. In fact, the future battlefield is a battlefield of big data. Whoever has an advantage in this aspect will have the initiative in future wars. On the other hand, does the Taiwan Army have such capabilities? !
Fifth, the use of a large number of unmanned equipment will greatly reduce the casualties of troops crossing the sea and landing on the island.
