On November 1, 2014, the 11th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 12th National People's Congress voted to pass the "Counter-espionage Law of the People's Republic of China". In 2017, the " Implementation Rules for the Counter-Espionage Law of the People's Republic of China" was promulgated and implemented. The promulgation and implementation of the "Counter-Espionage Law" is of great significance. It not only provides the most basic legal basis for counter-espionage work, but also makes specific institutional plans for implementing the overall national security concept on hidden fronts. It will further promote the standardization, institutionalization and rule of law of my country's anti-espionage work, and will surely play an irreplaceable and important role in the process of comprehensively promoting the rule of law.
