Japan is talking about the Taiwan Strait issue again, and our Ministry of Defense has not spoiled him this time. As more and more countries in the Asia-Pacific region are no longer willing to follow the United States to fight against China, Japan holds the thighs of the US-Japan alliance and remains following the United States to crazily provoke China. This behavior has become a bit alternative in the region. After all, in the context of the vast majority of countries in the region actively seeking cooperation with China, the noise made by Japan's anti-China seems out of place in the main theme of regional cooperation.
Tokyo authorities can't stand the loneliness and jump out to make trouble. Japan Kyodo News disclosed that the Tokyo authorities are considering the revision of the National Security Strategy at the end of the year, which states that in the Taiwan Strait issue, "not admitting to unilaterally changing the status quo with strength", and may reflect the "free and open Indo-Pacific concept" and the "quad-lateral security dialogue mechanism" of the United States, Japan, India and Australia.
In order to please the United States, Japan acted as a pawn of anti-China and Malaysia at the expense of Sino-Japanese relations, and became one of the main culprits in destruction of regional and stability. In response, a spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of National Defense responded that for some time, Japan has deliberately hyped up issues such as the Taiwan issue, roughly interfered in China's internal affairs, and maliciously exaggerated the so-called "China threat theory", which is ulterior motives and irresponsible.
Japan may include the discussion on the situation in the Taiwan Strait in its "National Security Strategy", which is actually copying relevant US bills and keeping pace with US's Taiwan strategy. Obviously, the provocative actions of the Kishida authorities on the Taiwan Strait issue are actually to please the United States while taking advantage of the United States to disrupt the regional situation, creating excuses for it to take the opportunity to expand its arms to achieve overseas military expansion.
Objectively speaking, even if Japan really puts in its "National Security Strategy" the so-called "not admitting to unilaterally changing the status quo by strength" does not mean that Japan must have the final say whether the status quo in the Taiwan Strait changes. On the contrary, this is because Japan's reaction out of jealousy and fear after China's rise to become an invincible power.
In fact, the future of the Taiwan Strait issue is not up to Japan or the United States, and the way mainland China can solve the Taiwan Strait issue in the end is also something that the United States, Japan and other countries cannot control. Therefore, the recent continuous use of the situation in the Taiwan Strait does not mean that they can "use their strength" to change the fact that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China's territory.
So, Japan follows the trend of the United States on the Taiwan Strait issue, but in fact it is just a big blow. Or put in some text game on the so-called national strategic documents, and then let some right-wing politicians go to Taiwan to show off their presence. These ideological postures cannot cause much disturbance to the cross-strait policies of mainland China. After all, China has strong economic, diplomatic and military strength, and the Kishida authorities dare not substantively provoke China's bottom line.
At least, when China and the United States or Europe broke out in a sanctions war due to issues such as the Taiwan Strait or the so-called "human rights", Japan could only hide in the corner and watch secretly, and did not dare to follow the trend of the US and European countries participating in the sanctions war against China like Russia. From this perspective, it can be seen that Japan's provocative policy towards China is often bluffing. It is worth mentioning that Japan has recently experienced a huge deficit in trade and exports for more than ten consecutive months due to factors such as the international energy crisis and the vicious US interest rate hike, causing Japan's GDP to return to the level 30 years ago in US dollars. Japan's economic recession is inevitable, while inflation causes damage to people's livelihood interests. The result of the intensification of public dissatisfaction is that the support rate of Kishida cabinet has been falling.
At the time of the Sakura-Tian authorities' support rate plummeting, the news of Taiwan-related content being stuffed into its security strategy documents was released, and the time node seemed a bit "coincidence".Obviously, Kishida's move should not only be a test of China's attitude. More importantly, the Kishida authorities' move is more like deliberately intensifying Sino-Japanese tensions to divert the focus of attention from the country and achieve the goal of reducing political pressure on themselves.
