8 Company captured 30 bunkers and more than 10 buildings in a row in the battle to conquer Jinzhou in the Liaoshen Campaign, and annihilated 3 enemy companies. It is worthy of being the sharp knife company of the "Tiger to Attack"!
383 Regiment: Its predecessor was the Independent Regiment of the Eighth Route Army Shandong Qinghe Military Region, established in August 1942. In March 1943, the newly established Shandong Qinghe Military Region 4th Military Sub-district was incorporated into the independent regiment of the Military Sub-district. 383 Regiment has the famous "Sea Pioneer Camp"
384 Regiment: Its predecessor was the 19th Brigade of the Hebei-Religious and Liao Military Region established at Shanhaiguan at the end of September 1945. In March 1946, it was incorporated into the 19th Brigade of the 7th Division of the Northeast Democratic Alliance. In October of the same year, it was merged with the 20th Brigade of the 7th Division of the Northeast Democratic Alliance and was reorganized into the 51st Regiment of the 17th Division of the 6th Column of the Northeast Democratic Alliance.
It is particularly worth mentioning that the predecessor of the 47th Regiment of the 19th Brigade of the Ji Re Liao Military Region was the famous "Panjiayu Anti-Japanese Revenge Corps". On January 25, 1941, more than 3,000 Japanese invaders and more than 2,000 puppet troops, under the command of Jiro Sasaki, an advisor to Fengrun County, puppet, massacred Panjiayu Village in eastern Hebei and killed 1,427 unarmed villagers. After the tragedy, the 28 young and middle-aged people in Panjiayu Village formed the "Panjiayu Anti-Japanese Revenge Group" with the protection and support of the 12th Regiment of the Eighth Route Army in East Hebei, and fought bloody battles with the Eighth Route Army to defend their country. In more than four years, they fought more than 150 large and small battles with the Japanese invaders with deep blood hatred, annihilated more than 1,000 Japanese and puppet troops (including the culprit of the tragedy, Jiro Sasaki). After the victory of Anti-Japanese War , the "Panjiayu Anti-Japanese Revenge Group" and the "Ji Zhenguo Anti-Japanese Workers' Brigade" (a famous anti-Japanese hero in Jidong who died heroically when he led his troops to fight with the Japanese and puppet troops on August 1, 1940) were merged and reorganized into the 47th Regiment of the 19th Brigade of the Hebei Military Region. So to this day, the 384th Regiment and its developed troops still call themselves the "Panjiayu Anti-Japanese Revenge Group".
Don’t forget the national humiliation
During the Liberation War, the 128th Division (17th Division) successively participated in the Shanhaiguan blocking battle, the three-way out of Jiangnan, the three-season offensive, Liaoshen, Pingjin, Crossing the Yangtze River, Guangdong, Guangxi and Hainan Island and fought more than a hundred times. They fought from the Northeast to Hainan Island, and killed a total of 78,644 enemies (43 Army ’s army annihilated nearly 180,000 enemies), and achieved the brilliant record of annihilation of the second largest enemy in the fourth field division-level combat units of the Fourth Field division-level combat units, and seized the first largest enemy weapons and equipment, making important contributions to the victory of the National Liberation War. And it has a nickname that is famous throughout the army - "Tiger of Attack". You should know that all the main divisions of the East Japan Army are well-known, and the brilliant achievements of the 112, 116, 127, 118 divisions have always been talked about by military fans. However, only the 128th Division was transferred from its column (later known as the army) three times and was separately transferred from its position as the general reserve team for the battle of important cities ( Siping , Jinzhou, Tianjin). Every time the 128th Division (17th Division) takes action, it completes the task successfully with rapid movements and outstanding results. The Eastern General once praised the division as "the most tenacious force among the field troops in the Northeast."
Famous scene in the movie "The Great Decisive Battle" - the 17th Division of the Sixth Column appeared on the screen
In terms of tactical characteristics, the title of "Tiger of Attack" of the 128th Division mainly comes from the widespread use of blasting means to siege the city. The city battle is mainly divided into three stages. First, clear the periphery, then open the breakthrough, and finally carry out a deep battle. What the 128th Division is best at is to use the blasting method to sweep all obstacles in deep combat, adopt the tactic of fighting a battalion to fight a street, set up formation, and use the principle of ", four groups, one team, and ", cover each other, cooperate with each other, fight one after another, attack one after another, and fight one after another in the rumbling explosion until the end of the battle's victory. At the same time, the division is not "substantial" and can also fight various types of battles, "good at night and village battles". Even in the battle of cross-sea attack on Hainan Island, it is not outdone. Its 383rd Regiment's 1st Battalion strengthened the regiment-level guard company and artillery company smuggled through the sword under the eyes of the Guo army, and successfully landed around the south of Haikou City. It was awarded the honorary title of "Sea Crossing Pioneer Camp" by the Corps. It was also a hero and model unit selected as a military parade for the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
0 Swearing in the sea - the most prominent one under the front row of the red flag was Liu Meicun, the then instructor of the Third Battalion of the 382nd Regiment, but after the founding of the People's Republic of China, due to the 43rd Army's misfortune, the 128th Division also rose and fall. In August 1961, the 43rd Army was abolished for the first time, and the 128th Division was renamed the Hainan Military Region system. In December 1964, the 128th Division was transferred from Hainan to transfer to the 42nd Army and served as the Military Commission’s combat readiness duty division. In September 1968, the 128th Division returned to the reorganized 43rd Army and moved to the Central Plains to defend themselves, and joined the 43rd Army into the entire army's strategic reserve. In 1979, the 128th Division participated in the Sino-Vietnam border self-defense counterattack with the 43rd Army. It went through four stages: breaking through the enemy's border defense line, developing in depth, organizing defense and control points, and fighting the enemy's counterattack to cover the main force's return to China. At all stages, it successfully completed all combat tasks assigned by the army. The entire division killed 1,628 enemies and suffered 607 casualties. The 1st Company of the 384th Regiment under its jurisdiction was responsible for the tasks of attacking Changtiao Mountain and defending the four highlands on the northwest side of the squad, which excellently ensured the safety of the main wing of the troops. The commanders and soldiers of the entire company were brave and tenacious, not afraid of sacrifice, and fought continuously, killing 94 enemies. After the war, they were awarded the honorary title of " Heroes of the Heroes of the Tough" by the Military Commission.

However, the good times did not last long. In 1985, the 43rd Army was once again laid off. Although the 128th Division was retained and transferred to the 20th Army, it became a "motherless child" after all, and could only implement the organization of the Northern Class B Infantry Division. By October 1996, the entire army handed over 14 Class B infantry divisions to the armed police force. The 128th Division was unfortunately on the list (if the 43rd Army is still there?), and was changed to the armed police mobile division, which was under the jurisdiction of the 382, 383, 384, and 708th Regiments of the Armed Police. In January 2018, the division was suspected to be reorganized into a detachment of the First Mobile Corps of the Armed Police.
