Despite the high-sounding words of the US military, it still cannot conceal the essence of this year's Rim-Pacific exercise aimed at demonstrating against China. In fact, since 2017, the Rim-Pacific military exercise led by the US Navy has been targeting China.

Now, with the comprehensive escalation of competition between China and the United States, the Ring-Pacific military exercises are naturally becoming more and more targeted towards China. Judging from the dispatch of aircraft carriers and quasi-aircraft carriers by the four countries, the United States, Japan, South Korea and Australia, it is obvious that the United States and its allies intend to use the Rim-Pacific military exercise to scare China.

But China is definitely not intimidated. Faced with the naked demonstrations and provocations from the United States and its allies, China not only was not intimidated, but also responded strongly with practical actions.

According to reports, starting in mid-June, the People's Liberation Army's Type 055 large-scale destroyer No. 2 Lhasa ship, along with the Type 052D destroyer "Chengdu" and the comprehensive supply ship "Dongpinghu", entered the Western Pacific to begin routine training.

The Lhasa ship was officially commissioned in March 2021. It has been in service for less than a year and a half, but this long-sea training proved that the ship already has full combat effectiveness.

According to a report from the Integrated Staff and Inspection Department of the Ministry of Defense of Japan, from June 12 to 13, the Lhasa fleet entered the Western Pacific for training after passing through the Tsushima Strait .

The formation then sailed clockwise along the Japanese archipelago until June 16th and 17th, when the "Dongping Lake" broke away from the formation and merged with an electronic reconnaissance ship that had entered the Western Pacific before and passed through jin. Then on June 30, the Integrated Staff and Inspection Department of the Ministry of Defense of Japan issued another notification, saying that the Lhasa fleet appeared in the northeast of the Miyako Strait late on the 29th.

According to reports from the Japanese side, from late night on the 29th to early morning on the 30th, the Lhasa fleet had completed this operation and returned to the East China Sea through the Miyako Strait.

It is not difficult to see from the navigation track released by Japan that since entering the Western Pacific, the Lhasa fleet has been sailing along the Japanese archipelago. By the end of the operation, the Lhasa fleet had completed a "circulation around the sun."
