Since the post stands on the top of a mountain and is at the center of the wind, with strong winds all year round, squad leader Zhang Junxiang insisted on going to the post without hesitation when the Chinese New Year was about to begin. Although he has experienced various physical discomforts as he grows older, there is another reason why he always insists on going to the outpost to celebrate the New Year.
"Only by celebrating the New Year at the outpost can you understand the true meaning of this year." These words said by the old squad leader before leaving made squad leader Zhang Junxiang guard the defense for 12 years and spent 12 Spring Festivals at the outpost.
On the fifteenth day of the first lunar month in the spring of that year, there was no moon, and the only thing that lit up was a light bulb in the sentry tower, which was faintly visible when blown by the wind.
The wind kept beating against the wooden house, making a clicking sound, which made Zhang Junxiang unable to fall asleep. Various scenes of happy New Year with his children appeared in his mind, and it seemed that the wind had also become the background music of Zhang Junxiang's giggles.
I slept soundly that night. In my dream, I went shopping with my children and ate ice cream together...
The dream was not over yet, but my whole body was exposed to the bright night sky. The wooden house was blown up by the wind, and everything disappeared before our eyes.
From then on, squad leader Zhang Junxiang never left the post and said to the company commander: As long as I serve as a soldier for one day, the post will change one day.

Although the altitude is high and the natural environment is harsh, one soldier after another always wants to defend here, not only because the post is a warm harbor, but more importantly because the spiritual highland Party Flag Mountain stands here.
